Foggy lenses
I’ve done the spit thing for goggles before. Probably don’t bother me as I was already soaking wet at that point. Don’t know that I would try that on my glasses. I’ll look into the cat crap (don’t know if the name is awesome or terrible, guess I’ll wait and see if it works or not)

That’s a great idea BassCats. Hadn’t thought of that

Foggy lenses
I have the half moon Costas and they do not have any of the vents on the frame or nose piece. I have a smaller head and they are about the only pair of costas that I can get in prescription that fit me well. I don’t wear a gator though I probably should. It has been really extra muggy here in SE NC given that’s we are not even into summer yet. The humidity makes the fogging even worse. May have to look into some anti-fogging spray that I have found online. If it works I’ll report back.

Fishing Clothes
I agree 100% with the underwear. They have to be breathable and tight fitting for me in that kind of weather

Thanks for all of the suggestions folks. I’ll have to give that paintball mask spray a shot.

Foggy lenses
Definitely can’t get the kayak moving fast enough to make my own wind, and apparently I’m too high strung for sunglasses (this had me laughing bc I’m about as excitable as Eeyore)…guess I’ll have to try some dish soap.

Foggy lenses
Anyone have a tip/trick or two to keep my sunglasses from fogging up so bad? I always wear a wide brimmed hat and my Costas when fishing. If there isn’t any wind my glasses fog up terribly. I feel like I spend half of my fishing time wiping my glasses off. This is usually only an issue when the weather warms up.

Looking for a Durable Spinnerbait
^ this. I grabbed a few from Ollie’s a couple of months ago for around that same price. Haven’t caught much on them yet but so far so good.

Maybe Its The Equipment And Not The Angler
Great catch! I think everyone has their own formula and style for fishing a t-rig. Just go with what you’re most comfortable with and have the most confidence in. Best of luck!

Best $40-$50 spinning reel
I had an older model Okuma Avenger that treated me pretty well for years. It was nothing fancy but did the job just fine. Prettty sure you can find them for around $50.

Small Water Fishing
This is great advice. I do this a lot with different t-rigged baits, but one sleeper is the horny toad. Pull it off the bank and let it fall.

Daiwa SV BOOST (Tatula SV TW 100) vs Daiwa MagZ (Tatula TW 150)
Incipient: beginning to exist; appear. Thanks for the explanation bulldog. You seem to know these Daiwa reels as well as or better than their creators.

Favorite spinnerbaits?
The strike king redfish magic spinnerbait is one that’s designed for saltwater but I have pretty good luck with for bass. It has a single Colorado blade and is set up like a beetle spin. The 1/4 oz is the one I have the best luck with, just don’t try to bring it through any sort of cover bc it won’t be coming out. Strike KingRedfish Magic Spinnerbait 1/4ozMade from a revolutionary tear resistant material that is soft, flexible and extremely durable.

Favorite spinnerbaits?
It’s my understanding, just like with jigs, that the weight is only that of the head, not the entire bait. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Oxblood Red Flake
https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Strike_King_KVD_Perfect_Plastic_KVD_Finesse_Worm/descpage-SKPPKVD.html Oxblood looks to only be available in the 6.5” version and it comes 12 to a pack for $7.49. Edit. Doesn’t have the red flake though.
- Teener PB and colossal bag!

The plan
That’s pretty much how I start every time. Have what I want to catch them on already tied on and a plan for how I’m going to get them with those baits. Usually, well most of the time, the fish decide otherwise and I end up throwing the kitchen sink at them.

favorite large worm
Zoom Ol’ Monster in black grape. Throw on a light t-rig, usually 1/8 oz bullet weight pegged.

Low visibility lure colors?
There is a lot of truth in that quote. I stray away from white and chartreuse often, but that combo seems to work the best for me in stained or dirty water. I have found a few bluegill pattern spinnerbaits that have produced in those same conditions as well, just not as well as white/chartreuse.

How Much Wind Is Too Much?
I haven’t even thought about summer, but I guess it will be here before we know it. I will fuss about the wind all year except during the summer, then I’ll take whatever the weather wants to throw at me. The wind is the only thing that keeps the mosquitoes from eating you alive in my area.

How Much Wind Is Too Much?
Anything over 10 mph in my paddle kayak makes it pretty unpleasant to fish which is unfortunate bc the wind can definitely be your friend as far as catching fish goes.

Got on several nice ones today. They were loving a bluegill Spinnerbait w/5” grass pig trailer and any color t-rigged ol’ monster i put on a hook. Bite was very hot for a little over a hour and then it shut down hard.
