When is the Classic? I haven't been paying attention to the dates. I'm guessing that someone like Aaron Martens or KVD could be holding the trophy.

I flipped over a few rocks in the stream I was fishing (the same stream in my signature) and I found a particuarly large crawdad. I hooked it in the tail and put a cigar shaped bobber about 1 and 1/2 ft above the craw. I cast this combo into a fast moving section of the stream. It hit the fast water and dumped into a small plunge pool. It went under and I caught this guy. Not very big by lake standard s but good sized by stream standards.

It's a Spotted Bass. I'm sure of it. : J/k

First off, no fast food place offers $5, they pay $5.25, and almost all employers pay some over the minimum wage. Combine that with food stamps, HUD, the Low Energy Assistance Program, Medical Cards, Community Soup Kitchens and other various giveaway programs and they surely won't be poor. Or maybe since they aren't doing anything constructive to society we could send them to Iraq instead of the brave men and women currently serving there now who some people have no appreciation of, and constantly belittle and cut down?

Where do you think your taxes go? Overseas, what part did you miss? Your taxes go towards paying Welfare and other government programs to pay those "homeless" people, which I find hysterical, because "homeless" people here have it WAY better off than homeless people in Africa and other countries. "Homeless" people here can go to Wendys and apply for a job to work the cash register. Heck, people with down syndrome can make a living taking orders at Wendys, so there should be no reason at all for "homeless" people to not work at a place such as this. Sorry to veer off topic. I love your thinking C312...you and I share the same views.

No problem! The best part about joining here is the quick responses by members to help one another with basic questions, or even advanced questions about fishing. Lizards sounds like a good bet...I usually fish them T-Rigged, and remember to add some scent, especially in the winter when finicky bass need that "extra appeal."

Ha, the new Zelda game for Wii! I've been wanting to play that...is the fishing as good as the N-64 Zelda game? I can't believe they left fishing out of Majora's Mask > Oh well. Looks like you're doin' a good job slayin' 'em!

I primarily bank fish for bass, and I have luck using senkoes, a soft plastic-cigar shaped lure (info can be found here on the board in the tackle/equipment section), spinnerbaits (small ones for me), buzzbaits, and various types of soft plastics. Also, don't be afraid to use live bait, such as a whole nightcrawler. Live minnows are good as well. Target key areas such as around boat docks, weedlines and lillypads, coves, and fallen timber. Try fishing the soft plastics with some bottled scent from Wal-Mart (usually only about 2-3 $$$). Anyway, hope this is helpful, and let us know how you do once you hit the lake.
