I'm in the same boat buddy. I couldn't break 4lbs last year to save my life. The year before that the guys nicknamed me "kicker" as I usually had a big fish, if not the big fish. This year I started off with a 3lb 14oz largie so I'm hoping to carry off that momentum. I fish the same no matter what, sometimes it's all about hitting them on the nose. Good luck buddy. GJM

Mine has a "bobbin" in it that you can remove to make it manual only. Even has a label that pops out of the cartridge showing it's in manual only mode.

Would defenitly throw an Arig. Lots of guys catching them on the rig. Muddy water is a factor right now, but is clearing up the lower you go. My line up would be: Jerkbait Arig Finesse jig Wart Shaky head And wait for it... a buzzbait. Black on black crock-o-gator head knocker to be specific.

I haven't prairie lee but have rain tree and the surrounding ponds. Get little spot. My aunt lives there so I throw that out when they try to give me the boot. Lol

I'd fish a little but idle and graph mostly. Fish to see what baits are getting responded too and what depth zone they seem to be feeding at. Idle and graph to find bait fish and structure. I've never been a fan of prefishing a week out as conditions can change so much.

Yup. My dad's dad killed himself when my dad was 16. It haunts him to this day (47 now). In some ways it has made him a terrific father, in others... not so much. Terrible thing for sure.
