I agree with you, but don't let the guides sway you from running somewhere, especially the Gravois. Most of those guides are gonna put you on fish within a few miles of where you take out of. Less fuel burning they do, the more of your money stays in their pocket.

I agree with this. Saved my butt more times than I can count. Still somewhat annoying when you have both metric and sae on the same freaking piece of equipment.

Sure. Rage makes a killer product. You have to make a slight adjustment because rage slows the ROF considerably, but they sure do move the water and attract the fish.

You could also buy a bag of zman baits for every 5 bags of other plastics you want. That 1 bag will outlast the 5 bags of the other product every time. JUST KEEP THEM IN THEIR ORIGINAL BAG DID I MENTION TO KEEP THEM IN THEIR ORIGINAL BAG???

Some of them do, but if you have access to a small boat or 2 man you can fish most of them. I know a few guys in the area that fish lonestar, gardner, olathe, douglas, leavenworth from a 2 man.

Temps have been pretty consistent so I would stick with normal patterns. Normal as in just got a rain storm in summer. Remember bass are predators and opportunistic ones at that. Creek mouths or other areas that have water/current running into the main lake will be like golden corral to them.

So then what happens? Seems as though it would turn into a bunch of he said she said unless the DNR observed it.

I agree with you on this one, but only if the OP has experience fishing the types of lures that he want to buy. In my opinion, if he has thrown a crank or jerk bait only a few times, he isn't going to notice much of a difference between that BPS or megabass, except at check-out. I'm pretty biased, because I don't use hard baits a whole lot (have plenty of them, that bait monkey is a jerk..) I could probably keep 2 cranks, 2 square bills and 2 jerkbaits and never need anymore than that. If it were me, I'd stock up on plastics such as creatures, beavers, trick worms and trailers. Throw in a few jigs, hollow body frog or two and your terminal tackle and call it a day.

Yup, part of the game. Just have to deal with it and keep fishing. It's frustrating, agreed, but people that get really fired up about it need to relax. That's like going to a public pool and getting ticked because you got splashed.

Pretty much what I did too. I'll go with some friends every now and then, but they take them home to eat them. To much work for something already tougher than jerky. Rabbits, I'll hunt and eat them all day! Humplets with gravy baby! I always smack a few during bow season. Pesky little turds. I quit using a field point after I shot one mid section, and then listened to him chew on my arrow for 15 minutes on the ground before I finally got annoyed enough to climb down to expire him and call it a day. Now I use the "thumper" style heads. Basically like getting hit by a riot control bag. Kills small game easy, and makes those stray dogs never think twice about coming to the farm.

I agree with the 2 other posts. If it's priced similar, there is no comparison at all in boats. 2 feet is a lot in a boat, and twice the hp? Pretty obvious choice. Want an s10 or a extended cab z71?
