Cats.
Cat wakes me up at 5:44 every morning I bet I get a dog. Fix the cat problem, and the breakfast problem for the dog. I'm not a cat fan!

Boat Worth
Agreed that top would probably be $1500 around here. Really you would probably only get that with the graph on it around KC. Otherwise you are looking at $1200 or so.

Booyah Pad Crasher - What's Going On?
I can't imagine fishing most of the stuff I fish with frogs on a medium rod. How the heck do you get them back-boned out of crap? I'm not saying you need a Heavy, but a MH should be minimum if you fish in cover at least. I wouldn't even throw one in open water on a medium.

What's It All Coming To?
Tragedy is inevitable. It happens everywhere, everyday... Just doesn't always make in on the national news. It's sad what the world has come to. What once was the "leave it to beaver" mentality where everyone is good until proven otherwise doesn't work anymore. Bad people walk among us and sometimes snap at the worst possible time. You could take away whatever you want to take away but violence and tragedy will still happen. Look how many people are injured and murdered in prison... bad people improvise and do what they have to to accomplish their sick, twisted perversions. Just reminds me to always tuck my kids in tight after saying our prayers, and hug/kiss them more everyday.

Another Caught Cheating
I never said you said it was okay to cheat. I said that you are saying its no big deal (derived from the your use of insignificant and the "its a club tournament for crying out loud") The point I'm trying to make is rules are rules no matter the scenario. It's either always right, or always wrong. I don't care if it's in little Timmy's American Legion fishing derby or the freaking bassmaster classic. The event, no matter how small or "insignificant" it may be to you, doesn't determine that fact of right or wrong.

Getting Started In Tournaments.
I'm assuming the "potluck" you are talking about are jackpot tournaments. Usually a weekly tournament with a cheaper entry fee. They usually take a little out of the entry fee for a "end of year fish-off/classic", then they pay big bass and a few spots depending on how any boats are there. There are no membership fees or any of that stuff, just a bunch of guys out fishing. It's basically half fishing half social. As far as the other tournaments that have already started around you, it's really never to late to join. Even if you only get to fish in a few more for the remainder of the year, that adds experience and confidence. Then start with them next year and take AOY and ROY

Will We See The Ned In Mlf?
Jeez, could you imagine the score tracker updates???

Heartbreaking!!!!! Your Worst Misses.
Topwaters will break your heart more often than not. The ratio on hookups/landing is terrible. You can tweak certain things to improve your ratio, but it's still gonna happen. Buddy and I fished a tournament last week that was like that. Fish were buried in that nasty stuff. The 1-2lbers would destroy that frog and never miss. We had 4-5 big blow ups (big for that lake, guessing maybe 3-4lbs) that never even touched the frog. I've come to the conclusion frog fisherman have the equivalent of battered woman's syndrome... Sometimes the kick our butt, but we just keep coming back for more!

U.s Open
I completely agree with the train wreck of Tiger. I don't know if it's physical, mental or what, but he has lost his swing and confidence. Was interesting to watch his wedge go further than the ball though...

Getting Started In Tournaments.
Most of the tournaments are going to have weigh-in bags for you. Culling beads and a culling beam can be very helpful. You don't need to put every fish on a culling bead. If you know your waters you will know if you will be culling that 3lber or not. Okie is a pretty good BFL division. Look into that as well. Wouldn't hurt to fish a year or two of it as a co-angler.

Hookset Follies
I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes... Just wasn't in the cards for us with the frogs. No reason the big blow-ups should have missed the frog entirely! Froggin, it's a love/hate thing!

What's Your Favorite Big Worm And How Do You Rig It?
X2. Although I've never tried the Rage Anaconda, but have had great luck on the Rage Recon Worm.

Another Caught Cheating
Again, totally agree with you. I agree it's small time and yada yada yada, but you guys that are saying it's no big deal and such are living in a gray world... It's either cheating or not fellas... Be it cheating to win $100 or $100,000 makes zero difference to me. Easy to call it insignificant when it doesn't affect you.

Feeling Pressured...
Exactly. I'm 26, married, 2 daughters, work hard, pay all my bills, save as much as I can, fish often, golf often, wife does all the girly stuff she wants and our girls don't go without. I didn't go to college, so I knew I would have to work hard to be a provider for the family I wanted. Don't get into a slump now... Trust me. I have a 20 year old brother that dropped out of HVAC school, works at a golf course, and still bums $20 off of grams every other day for gas and cigs. Lazy peope boil my blood

They Wanted My Bluegill
Nice job. Seems like you could do no wrong on that pond. Not trying to overstep but you may save your fishing spot if you pick up the trash around the edges (not saying it's your trash at all). I've had a few selfish people ruin it for me by trashing a place, so now I always pick up any trash I come across. Kind of a "you see it, you own it" mentality.
