That would help, but I still like to make sure they have plenty of room. Only other amendment I would make on your suggestion is to freeze water in water bottles or similar to protect the fish. I've seen chemicals from our drinking water sent them belly up fast...

My little girl graduates tomorrow... From kindergarten!!! I know some think it's silly to have a ceremony, but I am so excited for her and proud of her I am glowing! Seems like just yesterday we brought her home all swaddled in a blanket. Can't even believe how fast time has flown by and what a little lady she is transforming into. Got a 3 year old following right in sissys footsteps. No greater feeling in the world than being a daddy! I'll put up a picture of my little graduate tomorrow after her ceremony.

Doesn't matter what size of boat you have. If you want to fish a 5 fish tournament you need to be able to handle the situation I listed above.

The bigger the better. Think 25lbs of fish on 100 degree days and an 8 hour tournament...

I've heard of people doing this with c-rigs and drop shots. It will catch fish, but the general consensus is "lose twice the baits twice as fast"

I don't switch them out on the kvds. Almost never have one come unbuttoned. Are you maybe putting to much pressure on them to force them to the boat?

Fiberglass/aluminum is going to be a preference of yours, nobody should sway this for you. They each have their place and pros/cons. Depends on your style, habitat, unique needs (storage, size, etc), and your boat storage capabilities. A good deal really is also only defined by you... You will hear people all the time that I got this show room boat for $3k. BUT, where you are, the time you want to spend, how selective you are and time of year all factor into what "good deal you get. What I'm saying is think of it this way, you find a boat you love and want to buy it. It's priced at $4k right now, but in November it may be $3k? Which is the better deal? All personal preference. Save $1k but let it sit in your garage for 3 months or spend the extra $1k and have it to fish with for the next 5 months. It's all relative to you.
