  1. What we would have done for 8 of those four weeks ago eh chris? lol
  2. Nice! All is fair in bed fishing!!!! Gotta keep them good and ticked off!
  3. Love those football smallies!
  4. I knew they would be dang close, and figured some would be doing their thing depending on where you were on the lake. What areas did you fish?
  5. I agree, there is still good music coming out. I tend to actually like Florida Georgia Line (most of the time). You can't really slam them when you have Brantley Gilbert and Eric Church (Pretty sure Eric Church would give Willie Nelson a run for his money on the dope smoking) sing and do the same stuff. Money usually corrupts the moral high ground. Want to be rich and famous, just sing some bs that will sell. If not, there are a million others that can and will. Given the choice, I think they prefer their salary over most of ours.
  6. I know we had some guys hit LOZ for the bash... How was it? I hated missing it!!!!!!!
  7. Agree with J. Try to establish a pattern and don't be afraid to stick a few fish to see the quality. Be prepared to fall back and punt if conditions change. How they bite Friday may be all together different than how they bite Sunday.
  8. I usually just bury the hook as well, but there have been more than a few times that I've swung and missed on certain days, so I'll readjust and just skin the hook. I also always use EWG.
  9. Looks like a great day!
  10. Yeah... it's pretty simple really. If you know something melts if you take it out of the original packaging then common sense would say to leave it in there. They are a NED rig must, and work extremely well for trailers. You can't beat the durability of them.
  11. Ran my bladed jig across one and snagged it in a tournament a few weeks back with bluebasser86. Had it for maybe 10 seconds and blue hit the nail on the head with the description! Looked just like something from swamp people. Thankfully I kept dropping slack enough it came unbuttoned.
  12. Does that qualify me for a free meal at the restaurant?
  13. We have a farm is South East Kansas. Great deer population and big bucks. No.... there isn't a booner behind every tree despite what you see on tv, but we have some very quality deer. You couldn't pay me to hunt public land there though. People are stacked in it, your stuff get's stolen, and all to often you hear the motto "if it's brown it's down".
  14. Do yourself a favor and pm doc-drew on jerkbaits
  15. I'll say it before everyone else does THE NED RIG!!!!!!!!
  16. Wow... I don't get it. Whether it be laziness or pure ignorance, it's always sad how your decisions will affect the ones around you. My heart goes out for those kids slonezp
  17. Mine is a long one involving a rattle snake in the boat with me and a buddy at Bone Creek in South East Kansas. Let's just say the whole lake heard us, in my infinite wisdom I realized if I hook the snake he can only come within 6'6" of me, so as I cried like a little girl trolling to the ramp all the thursday night jackpot guys were waiting with smiles on their face. One guy grabbed it behind the head, cut it off and tapped the head with electric tape and threw it in the trash. He sent the snake body home with me, where I had my neighbor dry it out and put it on a board. Still on display in our machine shed. I still get creeped out when I see it.
  18. Glad everyone is ok. My home lake is loaded with with tall timber that falls all the time. Pretty sketchy stuff.
  19. To heck with all of that! No thanks on the snakes, crocs, or sharks.
  20. Lol, the bottom left pic is great!!!
