I tend to fish fairly quickly, covering water picking up the aggressive fish, regardless if I'm fun fishing or in a tournament. I've been known to double back on a cove I just went through and dissect it thoroughly looking for a bigger bite or finicky fish.

I use a quality line and always buy quality jigs, jig heads, etc. Plastics are a consumable, can't help that at all. But you can save a ton by buying a quality jig that isn't going to crap out and have the skirt/weed guard fall off.

Went to school for welding. Was on the road for a while and met my wife and had kids. Gave up the traveling. Number one job to me is Dad, so I work as a Facility Maintenance Manager at a big non profit. Still weld a lot, building derby cars (demolition derby), fixing farm equipment for dad. I'll build things every now and again for a charity auction such as picnic tables, trailers, decorative gates and such. Tig was by far my favorite, especially stainless. Fun stuff.

Driving range was great. He was laughing and having a good time. His wife met us there about half way through and she joined in. Was cute to watch them laugh and flirt (they've been married for 12 years). He went back in to get another bucket of balls and she told me that this is one of the best times she has seen him in probably 5 years, that she can actually see happiness in his eyes rather than looking like a zombie. Honestly made me want to cry. We are going to invite them over this weekend to grill and watch some movies. Try to keep the momentum high until Tuesday for the doc visit.
