Totally agree, just doesn't mean history will repeat itself to your advantage. It's all about the where, when and why and establishing that rather than "last year they were eating this at this depth" Jason Christie from Grand Lake Oklahoma said fishing history almost destroyed him on his home waters.

Cavitron Buzzbaits
I've never thrown one. Hear A LOT of guys on here love them and, from the pics, for a good reason. My buzz of choice is a tie between the Omega Alpha Buzz, or the Croc-o-gator head knocker

Looking at dabbling in the swim bait world. Don't want to get deep enough that I have to buy a whole new set up for it. So something that can be thrown on a 7' heavy rod. Looking at the R2S 168s S Waver in bone CL8 Clacker 5" in bone Mini slammer in shad Spro BBZ-1 6" either floater or slow sink in sexy lavender shad. Thoughts on any or all?

Favorite Post Season To Watch
College basketball (march madness baby!) College football ( not a fan of the 50 different bowls either... Just waiting for a "just because bowl". Just a make money gimmick for NCAA.) MLB

Game Day Hype!
Not a fan of either, but hope to see a good game. Seems Ben either has a dynamite game or watches it from his back. We shall see!

How To Make Any Knot .....not...... Slip.
I'd use a new knot, or line. "Guessing it's the line"

Fishing history can destroy you more times than not. That was a tough one to break for me on lakes I only get to fish 1-2 times a year

All About Swimbaits
He seems to speak largemouth... I will vouch it's far from ideal, but better than some. We take what we get, fish hard, and get rewarded often enough to keep us coming back.

The Flu This Year
That would be life changing to a massive population of people!

The Flu This Year
My experience too. Antibiotics do nothing for me that NyQuil doesn't already do. Just mask some symptoms. I'd rather the doc give me a z pack to boost my immune system.

Cheap No Brand Jointed Swimbaits
I have some of the latter mentioned ones. Got them in a lot of other stuff I bought on here. Joints look pretty cheap but I'm gonna give them a try. Will be awhile though... Hard water haunts my neighborhood...

What's Your Worst Series Of Unfortunate Events ? What
Fishing a union tournament at lake of the ozarks and we had an early limit. I caught a 3lber that would have culled. I was "on" the fish for some reason so my partner got out the cull beam to double check, but rather than clipping the securing bar on the cull bar he just put the fish on top of it. Bigger fish flopped causing an atomic bounce for the smaller one to do the same... Both hit the back deck heading for water. I pulled an iaconelli and dove towards the bigger of the 2 snapping 2 falcon lowriders and burying a spook treble in my shin. Lost both fish, snapped 2 rods and got a tetanus shot for good measure...

Bass Fishing & Deer Hunting
That is what is great about nature... Anybody can hit a fish on the nose and catch it, or stubble onto a deer. The part I truly love (been doing for 16 of my 26 years on deer, and sadly just started doing the same on fish around 17) is getting in their head and calculating there moves. Noting where I caught a fish and understand why, or where that buck is running and the circle he will make in the next 24 hours. Putting these patterns together and watching it unfold in front of me is more the reward than the kill or catch...ALMOST.

No Luck
59 degrees id be throwing jigs and jerkbaits. Try to locate structure with your eyes ( watch the land around your lake to follow channels or points). Not every day is gonna be a home run, but I beats the heck out of being at work and you can't catch them on your couch. Good luck buddy and welcome to the site! I would suggest going into the introduction thread and tell everyone a little about yourself. Background, location, etc... That will allow everyone to give you the best advice possible!

How Do I Choose What To Take With Me?
Just like most have said.... Pack a "fast bag". Mine includes Trig options, shaky head, jig/bladed jig and top water. Also includes is fishing utility pliers and a scale.
