Watermelon red is my primary color on soft plastics. Green pumpkin is a close second but my confidence is in watermelon red... So I catch more fish with it.

I carry a cabelas fisherman bag. It stores 7-3700 stoways and has enough room to store a lot more stuff on the sides. I condensed all my tackle and put the things I can't live without in there. Everything is in stoways, binders, ziplocks, all tucked away (labeled) on shelfs in my garage.

X2 on progressive. I had them on all my boats and still have them on my vehicles. Nothing but high praises to them. I damaged my new trolling motor getting to a fish that hung up in a tourny. Slammed a stump at full speed (101 lb thrust). Called progressive, told me to get a quote. Called my local marine shop, they faxed the quote and I had a new trolling motor the next day.

My advice... If you have $15k to put in a boat take $5k of that and buy a used boat that has the storage, deck, motor you "think" you need. Run that for 2 years or so and then guy buy what you really need/want. That will allow you to figure out exactly what you need out of a boat and what you hate about some of them.

Craigslist. Especially if you already have a motor, could probably find a decent deal on a boat with no motor or a blown one.

Or the box of moon pies! Lol

I got some as well and will be putting them on a shaky head this spring. No doubt about it!

Guy I used to fish jack pot tourneys did this a lot. cut his leader length in half basically and had great success. Our lake was full of hydrilla, and he would destroy them.

I never use pork. I've always had great luck with plastic. Sometimes I have to mix it up on types of plastic, but it always gets the job done.

I agree. Electricity is lazy and hits the weakest point as hard as it can... the water in your flood light fixtures.
