Jack of all trades. As bluebasser said, love to target bass, but sometimes you have a dozen rods out and catch a fish on a dozen different baits. Name of the game in these parts. Fish have nightmares about us when we dial in on the pattern though!

I use spike it unscented in blue. I only use dye on Jewel Eakins craw when I'm fishing a finesse jig. Buy green pumpkin craw, dip the claws, catch more fish. Plain and simple!

X3 I've caught some big fish behind partners and vise versa by doing something entirely different or even changing color or weight.

I throw a t rig in much shallower water than I will a shakey head. I like a shakey head over pea gravel, chunk rock, points etc also.

I'm guessing you are using the same size weight for the big ones. Step your weight size up and watch them come to life. I like using the big ones down in deeper water. Especially deep, submerged brush.

T rigged baby brush hog, watermelon red. Catches fish from the size of the bait up to lunkers.

I use 10# seagar red label. Never have a problem tearing it out of a fish mouth. Don't swing for the fences with a crank and you'll be fine.

Late April at beaver will be REAL close to spawn.

Great posts guys. Her contract is ending (was not renewed) this Friday 1/16. I'm not in any danger of losing my job or anything, and have never felt that I was. I'm actually interviewing for a promotion tomorrow . It just made things pretty interesting around the offices and corporate building. I've never been death glared, screamed at in an elevator, or cussed out in a parking garage so much in my life! My personality makes it worse, because I usually just smile and take it. I've realized sometimes people want to get a rise out of you, and if you don't show them that, it really ticks them off!
