I just bought some of those today but I've used others and I'm just starting fishing but I'll try to tell you what I learned about them here. The best place to use them is near rocks to bang them off them to get reaction bites. It works it's seems if it hits anything a log a rocks etc. They bite it if they're there. I've only been able to get bites on squarebills the last few weeks. I hope that helps a little.

That's definitely true it's the only thing thats been working for me this week. Too bad I lost my only one today. I guess I'm going to have to buy a bunch.

I had the best weekend ever. I caught two giants at the same place I caught that 5.3lbs one. I didn't have my scale but one was well over 4 and the other was at least 5lbs. My new reel I bought from Mike worked awesome pulled these big ones in pretty easy. What a Sunday morning on my little boat.

Hey man congrats. I just started fishing in June and it is extremely addicting but worth it. I think of it as something that I can now do for the rest of my life and I'm so happy to have found bass fishing and this forum. I learned everything from this place. Today was my best day yet I caught 2 5lbers and there's no better feeling than landing a big one.

Next season I'm getting a Tatula and I'm going to learn how to fish it. That is my goal. I read that when you first start it's best to have someone that can show you the basics

Nah maybe next year I can't barely get my spinning reel down. I wish I knew how to use one.

hey Brian what did you catch that beast on? And why do your fish pictures always look so good? Mine just don't come out that good. And how do you post them on here it always says it's too big for me.

Are there any bass fishing guides in Massachusetts? Or any classes I can take around here? I'm starting to get more confidence I just need some guidance.

These are some great stories. I just started bass fishing a couple months ago and I really don't have anyone to fish with so I've learned everything myself and with these forums.I'm completely hooked it's all I think about all day and even dream about it. Is this normal? I can't get fishing out of my head.haha this morning I went out after work and after reading about chatterbaits I went and tied one on and first cast caught one.3 fish in ten minutes I love using new baits.I can't wait to try them all.

today I tried a chatterbait again and had some awesome action I went after work at 7am this morning first cast one smashes the bait. It was so much fun 3 fish in 15 mins I've never had a bait work that good. Thanks for tthe tips guys.

Had an awesome night I was going to Dick's to get some line so I stopped at my doctors office cuz I knew there was some water behind it. It's the charles river and on my first cast to under this old bridge bang fish bites I set the hook and reel in a fat 3 lbs lmb. Then another one and then a big one that jumped and spit the hook. Glad I stopped and found a new spot. My first fish out of something besides little ponds.

I'm definitely trying this tonight.

I had a pretty good week so far I've caught 2 4 lb and 2 3lb and a bunch of smaller ones. But I'd like to ask Brian a question I think I've seen a picture of you in an inflatable boat. I'm getting one tomorrow could you give me any advice about them? I've never fished from a boat at all so anything would help. Thanks oh and I got my first frog fish it was awesome.

Hey I have a question do I have to have mono on for a backing to braid or can I just put it right on to the reel?

I had a pretty good weekend. I caught 14 lmb altogether with a 3 lb and a nice 4 lb last night to cap off the weeekend. I tried a bunch of new baits. Got a huge blow up on a frog but it was a miss.I love bass fishing.

Altogether today I caught 5 fish I went back to the place I got the 5.3 caught a really long 2lber. This is the best forum I wouldn't know anything without this place. Thanks for the encouragement. Went to buckmaster caught two little lmb but it was awesome cuz I used new crankbait. Rapala floating minnow. My first crank baits fishes. It's almost better to catch a small one on something new then it is to catch a big one on a senko.

Went to my secret spot this morning and only caught one lmb maybe a 1 lbs. That's the first time I only got one. At least two everytime. Gonna go back to the place I caught ythat big one tonite
