I've never seen anyone on here post about Rhode Island ponds or lakes. It seems as though no one fishes in RI. Sorry man wish I could help.

I have a bending branches basic angler paddle too. It's pretty nice and works for me. Try hook1.com that's where I get most of my stuff from.

For keitechs I like bluegill flash, Tennessee shad. All the colors are pretty good just match it to the water color or forage.

Today was the best day of the season for me. I caught all the fish on a chatterbait made by bluebasser. Black and blue with a rage craw trailer. Caught 6 fish in total. Biggest 4lbs a couple 3 and a couple 2lbs. This little pond I fish has so many big fish it's crazy. I wish I had all day to fish I could have caught more I only had a few hours. They were biting today. Hope everyone else is catching them.

I know it's 25 more than your price range but I have the tatula frog rod. It's my favorite set up to use. They're coming out with the tatula hd I think it is or something like that. It's going to be a $99 rod if you plan on getting it for next season that might be an option. Although all I've heard is great things about the fury I'm going to have to get one that try.

That's awesome dogbone. I'm glad you didn't quit. I had the best day of fishing all season last Sunday. Caught three nice ones including a 4lber and a 3 1/2, 3. All good fish especially on topwater. First one clued me in on what they wanted I was buzzing a rage cutr worm and the 4lber hit wrapped me up in the weeds but I managed to land it. 15lb test braid is stronger than you think. Then got one buzzing a rage craw cuz that was my last cutr worm. Lastly got one on a popping pad crasher. What a fun day. Don't give up on topwater during the middle of the day because I caught all of them after 11am.

God I want this bait I saw it a couple days ago and wow I can't believe something like this doesn't exist already. I love livetarget

Hey man don't quit this year hasn't been that good for me either. It might be that we fish ponds and the winter was terrible. Last year by this time I'd caught over 200 fish this year I might have caught 20. I do see one thing that could help. Use a senko almost every time I've gone I've been throwing everything I got and when I'm about to be skunked the senko saves the day. And I'm telling you go to that pond I told you about Ellis I have yet to go there and not catch a fish. No big ones yet but there in there. Anyway I feel your pain this year has been a lot worse for me too.

It's happening to mine too. I don't think it will affect it though so I'm not worried about it.

I went fishing this morning and found a bunch of dead pickerel on the ground. I know people hate them and I don't really like them either. But I just don't know how people can just throw a fish on the ground to let it die. Everytime I hurt a fish I feel bad I don't think I could ever just throw one on the ground.

I just started using baitcasters this year and the easiest I've used is the shimano citica the older one. I bought it off a guy from here and I can cast so much easier than anything else I have. Next would be a Tatula which is also pretty easy but definitely need to use your thumb. I'd start with mono first because you end up wasting alot of expensive braid. I started with mono and by the time I got down to enough to use as backing I put braid on. That sale at American legacy is something I'd definitely check out if I were you.

I just got a Kistler klx and I love it. It's light and sensitive. I got it for shakey heads but I'm using it for a bunch of stuff cuz I like the feel of it so much.

Well I got back to work this week after my vacation and a guy from work asked if I wanted to go to Mascoma lake camp ground this weekend. I said of course if theres a lake and I can fish. So I guess they have canoes to use so I'll be fishing out of one. Does anyone know anything about this lake? I've found out it has smallmouth and largemouth. And I have a map. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks guys. Oh its in Lebanon new Hampshire.

Caught one this way today too. I was using a half oz tungsten and a dbomb. What a fun way to fish I felt the bite and got a good hookset. I'll be trying this alot more now. Now I need to get some bigger punching weights. Did you use a bobber stop?

Had a great day today fishing with Fishing Rhino. Caught my first smallmouth and it was awesome. Lost a bunch of fish including at least a 5 lb largie cuz I saw it jump right at the boat and it was gone. Aww man I'm gonna regret that one for awhile I didn't know how big it was til he jumped. What a great day though first time in a real bass boat. Wow those things can fly. None of this would have been possible without these forums. Thanks Fishing Rhino can't wait til next time.

I know of some clubs but I'm not sure of the names I would go on mafishfinder that's a good place to find clubs I would think. I've seen them post their tournament results on that website. We should make our own clubs from the guys on here there's a bunch of people that post on here.
