Northeast Angler? How Was (Is) Fishing Summer 2015
I haven't had as good a year as last year but I haven't fished as much either. My best day this year has been 2 4s and 2 3s and a few decent fish. No big fish either. Last year might have been a fluke but I had caught a six and 5 5lbers by now and hundreds of fish. I don't know if it was the brutal winter or what. I'm hoping the fall is going to be better with them feeding up for winter. Anyway good luck and if your new on here go over to the eastern MA reports in the northeast section lots of guys from around here that will help with any questions you may have.

What Kind Of Rig To Have A Plastic Worm Swimming 1-2Ft Subsurface?
I don't know why you can't cast far it doesn't make sense to me. But once you can cast try buzzing the surface with any type of plastic I love the rage cutr worm but really anything can be buzzed. Most of the ponds that I fish are just like Jamaica pond infested with weeds. I just throw topwaters all day so I don't have to mess with the weeds.

Keitech Crazy Flapper
I just got some of these and I can't wait to try them. They look awesome I've been looking for something like this for an alternative to rage toads. Are they around the same size?

"best" Time To Buy Tackle
Last year at Dicks I got a Veritas and a Lexa for 78 bucks and a ton of baits for cheap. This Year I will be ready for this sale and might go to every Dicks in New England. Haha but seriously they were pretty much giving the stuff away.

Whopper Plopper!
This is my favorite top water bait. There's something about the sound of it that drives fish crazy. Anyone that hasn't tried one should. It's extremely easy to fish and it straight up catches fish. I threw one right after ice out this year and fish were attacking it. I swear it works during non-traditional topwater times. I've caught them every hour of the day on it. Just my experience maybe it doesn't work for others but it does for me.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
Oh my god 8lbers I live the next town over from it. I need to go there more often. I think I might get a membership next year then I'd be able to use their canoes. I've only stayed on one side of it I need to explore more the next time I go.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
I've been to hale it's such a nice area. I actually tried going there on Sunday but it was closed because of day camp. I've never caught any big fish but everytime I go there I catch at least one bass. My mother caught her first bass there so I'll always remember that place fondly. It would be so much better if they let you put your own kayak or canoe in. It's a beautiful place to fish.

Rh Or Lh Baitcast Reel?
I started with them this year and I've found that I can use both left and right. When I started it felt really weird righthanded because I was use to spinning reels now I almost feel more comfortable righthanded. I'm not sure what the right answer so you'll have to decide for yourself.

Best Baitcast Combo For Beginners?
I just started with baitcasters this year and the citica the older one is almost impossible to backlash. I bought it from a guy on here in the flea market. I'd look there first write a little message saying what your looking for and somebody might be nice enough to sell it to you. I've seen it happen before the guys on here are some of the nicest people I've ever come in contact with. First starting with a baitcaster takes getting used to. Definitely use at least 1/2oz lure and cheap mono and roll cast to begin. I'm happy I learned this year yesterday I caught a 4lber on a frog and there's no way I could have done it with a spinning rod.

Reasons To Bass Fish From A Kayak
I definitely understand the jet ski and boat thing on the fourth I was at a lake in NH and I guess they do a boat parade and for an hour I was being soaked by waves thrown all over the place. I couldn't even attempt to fish it really sucked. It ruined my day and I ended up not even catching a fish and I lost a huge one to make it even worse. One thing that I really need to get is one of those parknpoles so I can just anchor quickly through a scupper hole. I'm so happy I got a kayak this year it's made fishing so much better for me. I think next year I might get a pedal power kayak I've heard that makes it much easier to keep your spot so you don't have to anchor as much. Keep kayak fishing guys it's awesome.

What Do You Consider A Good Fish In Your Waters?
I haven't had the best year but in the last week I've caught 4 4lbers which for MA is pretty good. Last Sunday I caught 6 fish in 2 hrs and that has been my best day of the year and all of them were over 2lbs so I had a great day. Caught all of them on a bladed jig from bluebasser so thanks man you've made my year so far.

Reasons To Bass Fish From A Kayak
I don't get it. Do you not like kayak fishing or do you? I fish from a kayak and it's 1000 times better than being stuck on the shore. I'd rather have a nice bass boat but I just started fishing last year so that's a ways down the road. But for now kayak fishing is awesome for me I would have never caught a lot of the fish I have this year without it. Anyways I don't know if you were joking or what but I love fishing from a kayak unless it's ridiculously windy then I just go home.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
That's awesome I've never seen a bass that small before. Wish I was fishing tonight. I've had a good week though caught another 4lber on Wednesday morning after work on a black popping frog. I've been having tons of bites buzzing soft plastics. Mostly rage craws the rage toads I think are too much haven't been getting bites on them. Anything smaller works though. Can't wait for this weekend. Tight lines guys

So Do I Have The Handle On The Wrong Side?
This year I just started baitcasters and I bought mostly righthanded. At first it felt really weird because I'm used to lefthanded with spinning reels. Then I bought a lefthanded baitcaster. Now I'm confused because my frogging rod is righthanded and that's what I've been throwing the most and now when I try using my topwater setup which is lefthanded. It feels awkward so now I don't know what I should do. I guess I can just keep using both I'm just not sure what my next reel purchase should be.
