  1. @TnRiver46 bet he wouldn’t tell me to pay my medical bills instead of getting that new Dobyns rod though.
  2. @928JLH Aquatic vegetation is or in process of dying off in the public lake I have been fishing the most. Forecasts through the middle of the month look pretty consistent temperature-wise (highs above 39°, pick your low). Rain & wind are the dealbreakers for me (light 2 person boat, not getting sick for a bass). If you get sick of warm weather, a cold, damp seat is often available when my dad wusses out. 😉 If @Pat Brown keeps catching soo-piggies, he might get an unannounced Xmas guest! 🤣
  3. Got one in the Ranger, which came with the boat. Red & I assume aluminum. Usually don’t use it - weigh contenders with digital scales & don’t fish tournaments or keep LMB from public waters. Dinks from private waters might get released into the grease once in a while but table fare is usually reserved for panfish.
  4. @928JLH I can’t complain for here, low 40s & will be fishing from a boat in December in IN for the first time in my life. Catching quality will more than likely be the real challenge.
  5. Good info. @Pat Brown I have a feeling we will be seeing another pic of you & a toad should you keep at it with the chatterbait. "Winter" - single layer of clothing, sunshine, lilly pads & green grass in the background is not wintertime around here, that’s for sure. 🤣
  6. I have a theory that insurance & bait monkey are quite possibly one & the same. Would make a good Discovery Channel mockumentary - "Finding Bait Monkey" or “Expedition Bait Monkey".
  7. …..not that I have any room to talk. ….and probably not done yet.
  8. You do realize there’s only ~27 days left this year….🤣 👆wins again!
  9. Streaming works better outside of igloos.
  10. Welcome to the addiction!
  11. Looks to me like someone feels like you could still do more concerning the surplus.🤣
  12. @Pat Brown I smell bacon. @ol'crickety Fat basses.
  13. Forum won’t let me post reactions for the day 🤣
  14. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  15. First they have to make sure all payments have been made. Next they will meet with financing to make sure they’re not overselling the credits. Finally, someone should call you to confirm your information & approve your credit.
  16. Gettin’ played like a fiddle, aren’t ya? 😉
  17. Caught my PB 7-7 LMB on 26AP14 from a strip pit less than 10 acres & I had just turned 43. Haven’t had another 7 or over since. There are DD in IN but I’d rate them a 7.5-8/10 as far as rarity, with 10 being next to impossible. Plenty of fish under 10 IMO but not easy to catch. Others here at BR from IN probably have a better idea on the DD possibilities as I’ve mostly fished smaller private waters. I did see my dad lose one at Blue Cypress in FL that had to be well over 10. Hard to guess - biggest mouth I’ve ever seen on a bass in person, including a 13-3 they had in a shiner tank at Middleton’s camp at Blue Cypress letting it clear up in color (came from very tannic water).
  18. "CFP committee chairman Boo Corrigan explained the rationale behind the decision to give Alabama the last spot over the Seminoles. "In the eyes of the committee, Florida State is a different team without Jordan Travis," Corrigan said. "One of the things we do consider is player availability. Our job is to rank the best teams, and in the final decision looking at it was Alabama at four and Florida State at five" During the selection show earlier Sunday on ESPN, Corrigan said that the coaches on the committee considered who they would rather face between the Crimson Tide and Seminoles. And the coaches agreed that Alabama was a better team, especially with Florida State missing their star quarterback. Strength of schedule was also a big part of the discussion for the committee. Alabama had four wins over the top 25, and Florida State at three. Alabama had the fifth best strength of schedule, while Florida State's was 55th." "It's a factor, and it's a part of our protocol as we look at it," Corrigan said. "Alabama's strength of schedule was significantly higher than Florida State's."" CFP Top 6 SOS rankings: 1. TX 5. AL 9. WA 44. GA 51. MI 55. FSU
  19. Maybe down year for ACC was a bit strong - they beat one ranked SEC team in those 6 victories & rest were non-contenders in SEC conference alone. 1 ACC team in top 15. Notre Dame excluded since they don’t play full ACC schedule, there’s 3-4 ACC teams in top 25, depending on which poll holds more clout. Not sure what to call it, an average year? Could care less - all opinion & no one can change what’s been decided by committee. All a cash grab, has been for years.
  20. @FishTax No problem dude. I’m positive your unit has only so many hours of recording time - size of lake will determine what you will need long term. Unsure if that sonar data can be moved to SD card once it’s on the unit. If it can, just unload the data & keep it in case you do move to making maps on the PC. Then you won’t have to do the surveying again on those areas already done.
  21. @Woody B what T-billy said. @king fisher Lindner boys always preached location - you got that down no doubt about it. Giant. What did the behemoth weigh?
  22. @FishTax I’m not speaking from experience but I have researched this quite a bit. I hope this helps out. AutoChart Live is making a separate map/overlay, you aren’t updating your base map. Important that you’re aware your unit only has so much space to store sonar data/maps. The ZL card displays maps you create using AutoChart PC software from recorded sonar data. Unsure if it stores your sonar data to ZL card because once map is made sonar data is pretty much useless. You can record sonar data to a blank SD card & import into PC software, create map, save map to ZL card to use like any other mapping card. PC software allows for correcting bad sonar readings & other things can be done with it as well. Research, research & research some more is my advice. You’ll learn more from it in the long run by reading on your own due to the number of additional questions that are bound to come up. Ask here when you get stuck & don’t understand a specific topic. Lastly, for those with 2 or more units, unless something has changed, Helix models do not share mapping of any sort. Solix models can when networked (Navionics, LakeMaster). Unsure how this might apply with AutoChart mapping on a ZL card. I would be disappointed if the Solix couldn’t share.
  23. @gimruis…but FSU has to beat UL yet. FSU only up 3-0 2ndQ. Thought I read the FSU backup was questionable this morning so that might play into things more than we think (with committee). Not the same team they were 3 weeks ago by any stretch. I have no skin in this so doesn’t matter to me. Probably one of the more interesting years as far as who’s in or out since they started the playoffs. EDIT: FSU starting a freshman so the backup that played last couple of games is out tonight.
