Over here in the American League there is a cautiously optimistic fan of a certain team that doesn't play well against the Orioles. Actually there are two teams that havn't done well against them....nothing else for me to say except I'm hoping for an interesting stretch run......

First you need to buy a new Dobyns Swimbait rod and a new Daiwa Zillion....nothing else will work. I would then suggest using them in California for two or three weeks to get the hang of it. You probably will want to take me with you for support and pay my way out there. Once you do this you will catch fish with them. When are we going?

From another Yankee fan, I remember him most as an anouncer "that ball is going, going, going.....its GONE". I of course know he was a great Yankee SS but in the early 60's (when I was 8 - 12 years old) I remember many nights listening to him on my transistor radio while in bed......and my folks only thought I was going to sleep! He will be missed....he may not have been the greatest announcer but he was my favorite.

Mud Man....know you will be missed by those of us (which I would believe is almost all of us) that really treasure your friendship and all you bring to the table on this forum! It ticks me off that you would be driven away by a few even if its only temporary. I know you have good sense and respect your feelings....just hope you are back soon. I'll be n touch.

The current Avids are very nice rods and some nice deals can be found on them now (Reeds Sporting Goods has them on sale).

My preference is the Symetre. That having been said I have never used a President so I don't really have an opinion there. I just started with Stradics and Symetres and really liked them so I stayed with them. The old if it ain't broke don't fix it theory.
