I'd say I'm a generalist for now since I only got back into fishing a couple of years ago and started slowly. I have been using mostly t rigged plastics and fishing slowly along shoreline cover (I think I need to get slower).

I was thinkin if you put a Pflueger reel on a Shimano rod then you would be on the Mook Posse and that slow midget hooker guy would be the sheriff

Go to the BR home page and get to the "Tips and Tactics" section. Then under "equipment" go to "fishing line" and about midway down that page it explains how to properly spool them.

Hey Pond Hopper.....the first question on the CPA exam will be "What is 2+2?" Don't be fooled, it is a trick question. Any good accountant will tell you the correct answer is "What do you want it to be!" ;D Seriously though.....good luck finishing up and on the exam.

I've had to order mine from Cabelas. The BPS in Nashville does not carry it and I've only seen the regular hybrid on the BPS website but not the ultra soft. I've heard some Wal Marts carry it, not in Nashville though.

Welcome aboard! I have followed Roadwarriors recommendation and am using the Youzuri Hybrid Ultra Soft in the sizes he recommends. I am very pleased with it.

Actually I wondered the same thing but the bait monkey asked me to try the KVD stuff. Whereas I don't think its all that necessary it does seem to help make line more manageable and a bit limper so I like it. If I were to forget to use it I don't think I'd be brokenhearted but I do think it's beneficial.

Don't worry about it. I understand it is very common to take five years. My son is at Western KY and is in the same situation as you. He is a four year senior but it's going to take him another year. I beleive the KY system requires 128 credits to graduate which is very difficut to do in four years. Especially with a job. Stick with it and you'll be fine.

Well we got the Shimano Posse, the new Abu Garcia Posse and the Pflueger Mooks. I'm just wondering why Team Daiwa is just kind of sittin quietly on the side..... Actually the debates (even though they get a bit contentious at times) have been very helpful to a rookie like me. It has been tough on the pocketbook but the information is great and I'm convinced I've avoided some mistakes as a result.

Hey Muddy......Shadcranker and I went to BPS Saturday. He was helping me out with stuff I'm gonna need this year. At the checkout I was convinced he was the baitmonkey. Now that you've discovered its a girl I think he must just be a real close relative. BTW Shadcranker is new to the forum and is a good friend of mine. He's a great guy and will add alot, he knows his stuff and is a card carrying member of the Shimano Posse. He just really likes seeing his buddies spend money on fishing stuff ;D

I agree with Hawgin as respects the MH. BTW, Great reel.....enjoy it. Shadcranker is a good buddy of mine and is a big fan of Powell rods. He says thats all he's going to get from here on out. You might want to check with him on these as he is using them.
