  1. Very sound advice here from someone who knows what he's talking about One other thought.....I am told that the Daiwa Sol is a very good choice for finesse and casting light baits. I have no experience with it but I think its worth consideration for your intended use.
  2. Street Sewers......in Alba, TX????????? :o Maybe septic tanks.....I hope this ain't some sort of outhouse challenge! :o
  3. I've been using #6 Yozuri Ultra Soft on my Stradic since last August with no problems. Sounds like a bad batch to me. I'd return it and try again. Roadwarrior may have some good input on this as I know he's been using it a long time and really knows his stuff. I started using it based on his recommendation and have been really happy with it.
  4. Good luck with the new gear LAO! I think you will be glad you got the one piece.
  5. Welcome aboard.....nice fish and beautiful countryside Roadwarrior is "THE MAN" when it comes to Yozuri lines. I have followed his advice and am happy I did. I don't think you will be dissapointed.
  6. Another voice from the choir......Extreme/Stradic!
  7. Heartwarming and thought provoking. They say kids can be cruel but just goes to show they can have a heart of gold too!
  8. A warm welcome from us Music City folks!!
  9. Thats the spirit justfishin!!!! You have just made me feel much better.....now where did that baitmonkey go????
  10. We are obviously going to miss you but know this is harder on you than any of us. Will be thinking of you and prayers are sent your way that all gets resolved for the good.
  11. Sounds to me like you are doing pretty well.
  12. RW, I've notified the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.....I believe that should take care of the Mooks......can you think of any other precuations we may need to take???? ;D
  13. I would go for a Shimano Symetre 2500 ($80) and the same rod Muddy Man suggested.
  14. My choice would be a Loomis GLX MBR 843 or 844 C
  15. Well done RW......informative and on target!
  16. Great news LBH.....you deserve it! Now go ahead and enjoy it
  17. I get what you are saying. However I guess I fall into the category of buying nice equipment that someone with more experience may appreciate more. Not that I'm a horrible fisherman but I'm not very good yet as I've only been at it 1 1/2 years. However I have worked hard and paid some dues over the years to get myself to a point where I can splurge every now and then. At Christmas I bought myself a Steez baicast reel as a present to myself. Even with my limited experience I can detect the difference (the light weight is great). It is a pleasure and joy to use. I know its not going to help me catch any more fish than I would on my Citica but I enjoy using it. It is probably not worth a penny more than the Citica if you measure its worth by how many more fish you will catch (a cadillac or a chevy will get you to the destination) but its nice to have an occasional luxury if you can afford it. Just for the record I really like using my Citica too. It's like having a Chevy and a Cadillac, you can enjoy them both. Plus I'd bet there are alot of not so good drivers out there in Cadillacs. ;D
  18. The only hole in this story is that Redlinerobert would have called UPS in leiu of using the Lambo to haul this fish knowing he had an inside track on pickup and delivery. Plus if this was true Redline would be sponsored by UPS and have a UPS brown wrap on that new Ranger . Can you see Redline wearing the brown uniform with shorts fishing that new Steez equipment with that beautiful Ranger wrapped in UPS brown.....NOT Now I can see LBH fishing in the brown shorts off the back of a UPS truck illegally parked at the end of some dock.....all after he convinced his boss that this would be great advertising so he didn't have to take vacation time.....sly fox that LBH
  19. If I'm going out all day I like to come back in to a marina at lunchtime for a quick sandwich and bathroom visit.
  20. This is an opinion I would put alot of faith in......my interpretation is that it comes down to persoal preference and budget. All these choices will more than likely serve you well. My personal choice would be a Shimano but thats just my preference.

1/2 oz......it's my favorite not the fishes.....it's white with an orange belly...colors match the University of Tennessee 8-)
  22. I like it LBH ;D ...........But I don't think a Brooklyn Paisano will let it go too easily......I can't wait for the next move
  23. Now that's a vote I actually felt good about.....done!
  24. What's this new Ragu deal.....I thought you were making the gravy????
  25. Very cool Avid........will look forward to meeting you at the Nashville lunch stop. BTW, RW will keep you guys away from San Francisco and on the road to Texas! Ya'll forget the Mamas and Papas and crank up some WILLIE tunes....that will point you straight to Texas!
