  1. Yep, I got the wierd ones......guess I'm headed down the same path as you.....more $$$$$$....that #@%**#$ baitmonkey........does it ever end ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  2. The pic is a bit small for me to be 100% sure but I do believe Shadcranker is a good buddy of mine....I hope so cause he'll add a lot to the forum Either way.....Welcome aboard! BTW If I'm correct....I'm not worried about the hook anymore the finger finally stopped bleeding
  3. Welcome aboard....any friend of speedbeads is a friend of ours
  4. Me too, since I'm one of those who are not limited to what you can carry on a commercial airliner, I will have a little extra 'inventory' also. I have limited my self to ONE tackle bag and 4- rods for 'fishing'. I will have some extras in case a change up is in order. I will also be bringing along a few basic rod building supplies in case one of our group breaks a tip or steps on a guide, etc. No warantees implied, but we will be able to get you up and fishing again. Ronnie It must have been contagious....ME TOO....in addition I added a trip to BPS this morning to make sure I had Flukes recommended list covered. I was going to try to limit myself to three rods but you guys just covinced me I can bring four. Woo Hoo.....we're almost down to a month to go
  5. HELP!!!!!! On the advice of many on this forum and fishing buddies I decided to change the hooks on my Rat-L-Traps. I went to BPS and got some Gammy treble hooks so I'm all set to go. I got some cheap circle ring pliers but I think they are not made for a circle ring this small. Any advice to help me get this done will be most appreciated. I am a frustrated mook with fat fingers and short fingernails.
  6. Risky, Me & the mooks are coming by your house on the way to Fork next month. Get your Magellan and the software that came with it together and I will get you fixed up. GPS is my business. You will love what it can do for you. Ronnie Thanks Ronnie.....that will be so great....I'll bring it with me too so all us mooks can learn something.
  7. My girlfriend bought me a Magellan GPS two Christmas ago. I've tried for months to figure it out and still haven't got any clue. It has aggravated the fool out of me. I think her feelings are hurt because it was a nice gift and she thought I'd go crazy about it. She just doesn't know how dumb I really am.
  8. Sooooo.....you took a "Quantam Leap" and have become a "Quantam Mook" Next thing you know it'll be a Shimano!

Hey Fishbear.....anxiety and panic attacks are no fun. I have a doctor friend who gets it some when he's driving and he has no clue why. He doesn't get it to the extent you do but it happens to him never the less and he's a Doc. I get em every now and again for no apparrent reason and its no fun. My Doc tells me that sometimes a good excersize routine can be beneficial and to cut back on smoking and alchohol if you do that. I try to do a brisk walk or hike of 2 to 3 miles, 3 or 4 times a week. I think it really helps and it for sure doesn't hurt. In any event it's very common to have panic attacks and anxiety when something is stressing you all out......and it's no fun and very real.
  11. I use a chunk, its pretty popular on Dale Hollow here in TN. Check out the website below....alot of great info on fishing hair jigs for smallies: http://www.punisherjigs.com/
  12. Very cool!!!! Enjoy, be safe and most importantly catch tons of fish.
  13. Last night most of the school districts in the Middle TN area closed due to a forcast of snow or ice......when we woke up this morning the actual accumulation was ZERO
  14. After looking into this further dodgeguy is right. There are two choices in the right hand model. The BPS spring master catalog shows the wide spool as a left hand model (not correct). Looks like BPS had a minor foopah in the catalog and both choices are available in the right hand version. I don't see a left hand version of this reel. When it comes to Pflueger and Suffix Braid check with dodgeguy.....he's "DA MAN" when it comes to these brands.....I beleive he's "The Pflueger Sherriff" ;D
  15. The SHERRIFF has spoken!!! Ya'll listen UP
  16. Look into this combo: http://www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.TextId?hvarTextId=59174&hvarDept=100&hvarEvent=&hvarClassCode=3&hvarSubCode=2&hvarTarget=browse If you are sold on the St Croix Premier Rod ( go with a MF rod) I would definitly recommend a Shimano Semetre Can't go wrong either way
  17. QUICK.....SOMEONE CALL A DOCTOR....MUDDY'S REALLY SICK!!!!!
  18. 8-) Doctor Raul strikes again! Now that's funny. I don't care who you are, that's funny! Raul is correct, of course, but you might be satisfied with the Shimano Symetre or Stradic at different pricing points. You have excellent advice here and all you really need. Beware though, soon there will be posts recommending Pflueger reels. These folks are known as mooks. They are really good guys but their taste in fishing reels is not what it should be.
  19. Cute little buggers.....except for the one Muddy had to share with us ;D
  20. Register on the Do Not Call list. They passed a law and if you are registered no one is allowed to call you selling stuff. They are subject to bad government punisment if they do. It really works except it doesn't apply for non profits or politicians. Link is below. www.donotcall.gov
  21. Brrrrrrrr.......It's cold in Music City......freezing tempuratures, snow and ice predicted tonight.....no ice thick enough for ice fishing in Nashville though.......just cold and messsy enough to keep you inside.....good weather for a BPS excursion!
  22. They carry the Kinami Palm Tree which is almost the same thing. I have some of each and really can't tell any difference. I understand there may be some difference in the formula.
  23. GYCB and Zoom, I've heard GYCB is the best tasting one out there
  24. Thanks dodgeguy, I wonder why they put the wide spool on the lefthand model and not the right. One would think they would want both to have an equally fast retreive. Any thoughts in this regard?
