  1. @Dwight Hottle Very awesome for you my friend!!!! Glad to hear you are back on the water. Hope all is well going forward as well.
  2. It's next on my fishing books to read. About halfway done with In Pursuit of Giant Bass. Its hard with the little ones right now to find any time to read.
  3. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108037/
  4. Gammy EWG - 3/0 or 4/0 depending on the exact plastic. Always t-expose. Only thing that changes is size of bullet weight.
  5. I'd go braid if I were you. I have one rod with 40lb braid and another with 15lb FC.
  6. Sometimes when there is slack tide - you could throw anything and they won't bite. Keep at it and you'll catch. The potomac is a fickle beast for sure. Try throwing frogs as well.
  7. I too am interested/excited about this line. I will be buying some 8.4lb for sure.
  8. Agreed 100%, bought it primarily flip and pitch duty but now its my dedicated frog rod.

Can confirm: That's what my 5 year old calls them - my tiger stripes.
  10. While I haven't used the Culprit frog, I do use the Rage Toad and Zoom version. I've caught fish on both and still use both.

I have the Keens as well - love them.
  12. Got a few of these coming (hoping they're home after work actually) and wanted to see if anyone has thrown them yet. Wondering about action, how good at coming through any cover? If anyone has throw the Magdraft would like to hear about that as well - although mine is backordered until Oct :(. Thanks.
  13. I bit the bullet and bought one a year or so ago now, but I really like it. Super strong and lots of choices on configurations.
  14. Would love to hear some reviews/thoughts on it when you get some time in with it.
  15. Getting a new rod for 1/2 & 3/4oz jigs, t-rig and c-rig and lighter pitch/flip in those weights. But it can also be used for chatterbaits and swimjigs. I'm leaning to a high 7 or more, but was maybe thinking of compromising on 7.2 or 6.8 for when throwing chatterbaits and swimjigs. Right now I throw them on a 6.3. But since it will primarily used for bottom contact was leaning to a high 7 or even 8 reel. Thoughts?
  16. Looking to get a new rod for C-Rig, Jigs, T-Rig rod in the 1/2 & 3/4oz range mostly. Obviously it would be a good reel for bombing out c-rigs and football jigs. But what about using it to flip and pitch as well? Also, anyone own this reel and care to give any overall thoughts.
  17. Good my man and please follow up on how you guys do!
  18. You throwing on spinning gear? I throw top water baits (trebles) on mono, I find and not that it's very often but a treble hook can get wrapped around the braid from time to time. Not a huge deal, but it certainly can ruin a great cast.
  19. The Potomac can be a fickle beast for sure! Great report and you will soon love/hate that river like the rest of us. I had a club tourney Saturday and only had one bite all day. My boater had 3. We only had 1 limit for about 6.6lbs - all almost cookie cutter 12". 1 person with 4 and a few with 3.
  20. Is this just another way of saying hand poured. Either way I'll be picking up a few of the Dream Shots - great bait for drop shot.
  21. I only own 2 spinning rods - the NRX 852 and MB Simoom. The 852 is a AMAZING rod - super sensitive and versatile. I've fished light t-rig (mostly tubes), shakyhead (my got to is 3/16oz as well), dropshot, weightless senkos, mojo rigs, and more. I can't comment on the other 2 as I haven't handled them but the 852 really is an amazing stick. You can't go wrong with the 852 IMO.
  22. This or TW carries some by Phenix. I like the BPS ones cause they come in 1/16 and 1/8oz size.
  23. Nice pick up! I have both the Core 50 and 100 - such awesome reels!
