  1. I suppose we should never think that: My reel is better than your reel thing anymore. It's more like: My deal was better than your deal!
  2. I'm tying a uni/uni with 832 65# to CX 17#. No problem with my Team Lews Rods or my Fenwick HMG. Must be the guide design on your rod. Give Dobyns a call, see what they have to say about it.
  3. Turn the rod upside down and cast it, maybe that will work for ya. lol Good post!!
  4. I use a couple Salt top water for bass. Go for it.. see what you can produce with it. Fun and interesting challenge.. Good Post!
  5. Doyo on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=&_osacat=108153&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR10.TRC0.A0.H0.Xdoyo.TRS0&_nkw=doyo&_sacat=108153 Do you think this seller has this reel priced a bit high? I do.
  6. When I fished BASS way back it was a team entry. My fishing partner and I were top 5 or 10 most of the time. Our best was a second. Locally I had my share of wins and Lunker. Didn't take me long but I've always fished so it's not a fair assessment. The tourneys did make me better. I loved it. Couldn't wait for the next one.
  7. According to my scale: 67 pounds.. Really good scale !
  8. I'd fish one for free! Donate the winnings if "I won"
  9. Must be a transom on the back end. Sort of like the old town model Dicks sells. I'd buy a boat but most lakes around me don't allow gas engines anymore. Fortunately electrics aren't a problem. It beats paddling as long as they work when you need them most! Grr!!
  10. I've never been lucky enough to catch one I put as hook set on. I have caught others while casting back for him though.
  11. Great pics Wayne Wayne
  12. Congrats, Fat SOB!
  13. Get some lighter fluid and a match. Make a video of it burning and post it.
  14. You may want to post this in a fly fishing forum. Good Luck!!
  15. I like them.. I'm not a fan of the chunky knobs. Something for everyone. lol
  16. He would need a Lews nut lock ring for it to work.
  17. Here, buy this and make the best of it. Not what I would buy but to each his own right.. Lew's Team Lews HM85 Million Graphite 7'3" XH Dense Cover Casting Rod TL73XHFC Length: 7'3" | Line: 17lb-30lb | Lure: 1 oz-2 1/2 oz | Power: Extra Heavy | Action: Fast | MPN: TL73XHFChttp://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/lew-s-team-lews-hm85-million-graphite-casting-rods.html
  18. I'm in total agreement. I can't stand a rod with a real seat that has exposed threads. They're ugly and uncomfortable. St. Croix is famous for doing this. Three of my Lews Rods.
  19. I double every knot I tie. I use the new Trilene knot most of the time now.
  20. I've only seen a few area's with bass beds in the lakes I fish in southern New England. I'm totally confused as to why. I'm not the only bass fisherman reporting this.
  21. Do you want to change the knobs or the entire handle with knobs? Call Lews and ask about the new Team reel knobs. They do sell them.
