Islamorada For Spring Break....any Fishing Suggestions?
http://www.bridgemapper.com/maps/fl/fl_monroe.htm Plenty of bridges to fish from. Not all bridges are open to fish from. There is shoreline to fish from...look for signs, some places are off limits/private property. Google map your area, I found several spots that were secluded and little to no traffic on several of the lower keys. You can get shrimp and other bait pretty much everywhere. You will not find it difficult to find a place to fish. Have fun!

Creek Bassin'
Had some time this morning before my boys baseball tournament. Hit up the creek, took my dog with me, stayed for about an hour. No action... Headed to ball field...laid the smack down today. Boys won the tourney, and got some sweet revenge. Headed back to the creek about 6, stayed for about an hour or more. Caught a nice sub 2#er on a blue and black 4" yum dinger. Glad I went back, was bored sitting at the house...and really did not feel like doing yard work. Have the day off tomorrow, but forecast says rain all day and night here. Maybe catch up on my dvr shows.

Bowfin (Dogfish)
I catch them pretty often in Alabama, in the creeks/runoffs from the rivers. They are fun to catch, I throw them back...if they don't break me off first.

Huddle Gill Update
Got itchy today, saw I missed a package from I don't know who. Went to review my order on hud website...said backordered feb.5 NOOOOOO!!!! I ordered that same night they were available, like the rest of us. Anyway, called them up today, he said not to worry, they were shipping out next week...did not say what day. Only other info I got was, making them were taking more time than planned. Whoever the guy was I talked to was nice about everything. Told him I was excited and really looking forward to it. Invited him to check out BR. He asked to post to their fb page with feedback or reviews. Just a friendly fyi, I know a lot of us are "sweatin" the mailbox.

Major League Fishing Sound Effects?
probably too tight. I noticed they fish their drags pretty loose....or adding the effect...I would predict no effects.

How Did I Live Without This Thing?
Neat little tool, especially for us that wear glasses...I have a hard time seeing up close with my glasses on, and have to remove them to tie. I have had a similar tool for tying snell knots for years...forget the name of it, but it's handy.

Got Bored, Creek Fishing
Watching the weather, been pretty cold here in NW FL. Warmed up today, but wind kept me from going to a lake in the jon boat. Tired of sitting around the house. figured I would bank fish, my son was not interested, so off I went. Stopped by a creek off the river, never did much good there...bowfin usually. Oh well, better than nothing. Rigged up a cutter worm with a small bullet weight, needed some weight, the wind had the creek moving pretty fast. Hooked up with a dink bass, about a lb or better. Snapped a pic and sent to my wife...really just to rub it in for my boy, lol. Stayed another hour, after getting hung up and broke off on some logs on the bottom, decided to head home and maybe catch the end of the race. Hoping the wind dies down tomorrow, might hit a lake, they were moving up before this cold front.

I Wanna Catch A Salt Water Fish
winter fishing here on emerald coast is tough. Sheepshead on shrimp with smaller hook, white trout on shrimp or cut mullet. Redfish are still around, fish the lights at night if you can, cut bait or big curly tail. I fish on the bottom, carolina style rig.

Key West Fishing
If you head just a bit up from KW, try Jeff Knapp, this guy is old school and all business. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g34347-d4442964-Reviews-Captain_Jeff_Knapp-Marathon_Florida_Keys_Florida.html That photo is a tarpon I caught last year with him, my boy on the left. his website is old, but contact info is on there...I know he likes to snook fish...maybe he can do a snook charter. Have fun.

Florida Keys
Agree with above. Go find a charter, 350-400 is about the range... Bring some bigger rods/reels, hit the bridges, get some shrimp, you will catch fish and have a lot of fun. Even if the bite gets slow, it's so beautiful, you won't even care. Good luck and enjoy it! Some links that might help: http://www.bridgemapper.com/maps/fl/fl_monroe.htm http://www.mainattraction.org/marathon/charter-fishing-season.php snook season will be open http://myfwc.com/fishing/saltwater/recreational/snook/ be sure you are legal! The "man" is everywhere down there.

Florida Keys
You better head west to the glades to find bass, or hit homestead/florida city. There is no freshwater in the keys...except for a watering hole, pools and the sink. Tons of small lakes, rock pits canals around south florida, you will see them driving down the turnpike.

New Hudd-Gill

Pictures, My Mind Is Boggled
Tough situation... Since my first digital camera, I have organized MOST of my photos by year/month. Some have their own folder, xmas 2001 or disney 2001 or something like that if it was an occasion. I still have tons that have been imported from phones over the years...slowly working on those. I back them up to an external drive, my nas device and I use idrive to back up everything on all devices. Had a drive die many years ago, and had not backed them up elsewhere, I was able to retrieve ALL of them. I would cry if I lost the pictures of my kids/family and the memories we made. Yes, it takes time to organize, just keep scratching at it when you have time, sooner or later you will be caught up. You will thank yourself, and so will your family one day. Good luck.

Lowrance 3Xvs 4X
it says 12v 7.5a/20hr wildgame brand I bought from gander mountain. It lasts forever. Leave my unit on all day, and barely have to charge it. If you have a battery store near you, they have tons...I went in one after I bought it at gander. Don't forget to put a fuse on it.

Lowrance 3Xvs 4X
I have the 3x, if I could get the 4x for same price or even $20 more I would have. Bigger screen for us older guys. I can still see everything on the 3x screen from 3' away. Picked the 3x up a few months ago @ academy for $99. For my jon boat and kayak, it's enough for what I do.

Beautiful Day...
Yes, the camera worked better than I hoped. It's not hd or 4k, but in 20' of low vis water, I could see about 5-6' around. The IR lights on this thing work great. I did have to attach biggest dropshot weight I had (3/8) to get it down, due to wind picking up and blowing my little jon boat around.
