Iphone 6 Or Galaxy 6
I'm in the same boat, my sg3 is getting dated and slow. Thinking about either of those phones. I don't want bigger. Call me old or whatever, I don't need a tv in my pocket. I really wish I could go without a phone. Sometimes "tech" is so over rated, overused and exaggerated by the current generations. Not to say I don't like it, but sometimes convenience DOES get in the way.

Swim Jig
I like the structure bug and the grub, but I usually start out with a paddletail swim bait on the swimjig, if that's not working I will switch to the other.

Best Offset Hooks For Plastics?
tough one. I prefer the gama hooks, less give, although I will use those light wire hooks sometimes. Could be the timing on your hooksets? The power of your hooksets? The way you rig the hook in the bait?

Casts Per Bass?
I don't count, just keep casting until a bite, hopefully land it, then keep casting til the next. Rinse and repeat.

Best Bass You Boated Or Lost This Season
Guess I can weigh in some fish tales.... about a month ago me and my boy went, I though I was hung up on a tree log. A few seconds later it was on, I was a nervous wreck, told my boy to get the net, fought her for a minute, she finally came up and jumped, don't know the weight but size wise, would have been my biggest bass, threw the hook on a jump and thrash you would mistake for a baby tarpon, and she was gone. I still relive that in slow motion all the time.

Bama Bass

Made Plans For Sunday..:)
Went Saturday morning. Got there around 6am. Landed first 2 in about 10 minutes using chatterbait. Tried the shallows, topwater was not working for anyone...maybe the recent rain...who knows. Tried a carolina rigged bruiser 10" worm for awhile, no action. Fish were real scattered and very few even showed up on my screen. Threw the old reliable swim jig and landed a few more. Ended up leaving early, had other stuff to do. Had a good day, weather was great, wind was light.

Creek Bassin'
Hit up the creek this evening. Had some rain lately. Creek was higher than usual. Decided to tie on a spinnerbait, started down the little trail next to the creek, had to step through some brush to get around the water, as I stepped over I saw something move between my feet... uh-oh. 3' water moccasin was right between my legs, slithering away from me into the brush. If he was not slithering, I never would have seen him. I watched him for a second frozen in fear, thinking, why don't I bring a gun when I go to the creek? So he slipped next to some scrub, I slowly walked back to the clearing and watched. He gave me the heebie jeebies. Thank the Lord I did not have my kids with me. Threw out my spinnerbait a few times and landed a little spot. Threw about a dozen more times, looking at the ground all around me, then headed home. This cottonmouth was not dark, but dingy fall leaf colored with that unmistakable head and tail. Just an FYI, you guys and gals be careful, look where you are walking, and be safe!

Basic Salt Water Set Up
7' The ugly sticks are money, especially on a budget. I have some that are nearly 20 years old, and I use them all the time. 40-50 series is right on, will land just about anything if you are careful. I did step up and went with the st. croix mojo inshore with a 4000 penn w/ 20# power pro last year. Let the kids use the ugly sticks... Just don't try and boat flip a 10# redfish Good luck and have fun.

Made Plans For Sunday..:)
Headed up to my favorite little bass lake in Mississippi on Sunday...if the weather holds out. Taking my 10 y/o girl, she loves to fish, my boy has a ball tournament, so I will miss the Sunday games. Oh well, since I got snubbed last week, I made my plans today. I can't wait. Ready to go. I will have pics and maybe some gopro footage. I will be trying out my hudgill.

Favorite Saltwater Fish To Eat?
Inshore, flounder > redfish or specks. Snook > most. Sheepshead, not really worth the trouble of cleaning, unless you are really hungry and have nothing else to eat. PITA to clean, about like a triggerfish. You will find a bunch of grey/mangrove snapper in the rivers, they are good to eat, catch you a bunch, filet, fry'em up or grill them with the skin on, good stuff.

Creek Bassin'
Hit up the creek after work today, brought my youngest daughter. She got bit, yanked and lost it, I had my line about 10 feet from hers, 2 seconds later, had to be the same fish, bit mine, landed a 5lb bowfin. She was thrilled, she took 1/2 credit, and that's fine with me. black and blue berkely powerbait lizard

Agreed.

Can't Hook Up With Rage Tails...suggestions?
agree with those guys, the bait stealers like to nip at them. Check your hook size, maybe short strikes on a small hook? Good luck.

Funniest Thing You Have Ever Seen In Person
Me and a couple friends were bored one weekend (in my younger days), hot south florida summer. We had a mutual friend who was away at school, one friend decided to call him and ask him to use his wave runner. He did not answer phone, they said "let's just get it, he won't care". So we jumped in my buddies truck, went and got it and went to one of the local rock pits to drink beer and "tear stuff up". So after awhile, and a case or two, the friend that talked us into getting it jumped on, we had the trailer still backed in the water, 2 of us were sitting on the tailgate facing the water, passenger door open with the radio on. So, this friend is riding around for awhile, he starts to head our way, I said "wouldn't it be funny if he crashed?" (You know the dumb things young guys say when they are half lit), so he is making his approach, he veers our way and hits the throttle, his eyes went BIG, he ramped up the shore, right next to us, boom, jumped, right into the open door, he was literally hanging in the window frame. We did not flinch the whole time, me and my friend sitting on the tailgate just turned to each other and laughed til it hurt. His door was bent backwards, waverunner all tore up. I made him sit next to the door all the way home, he had to hold the door closed the whole time. He ended up having to buy a waverunner. That was almost 25 years ago, we still laugh about it.

Does Anyone Else Fish For Bowfin?
I catch them pretty regular here in NW Florida and South Alabama. I don't particularly target them, but if that's what biting, that's ok with me. They are fun to catch. I have the best luck dragging lizards or worms, even though I am after bass, they hit the same plastics.

Day Late And A Dollar Short...
- Day Late And A Dollar Short...
ya, there is. I hit the creek, there is another lake about an hour away, in the 19 years I have lived here, never a bite there.... Or maybe I will go bay fishing...catch some reds and speckled trout. Still bummed, lol been reliving my last trip, and that big one that came undone on the swim jig. couple guys caught 9lb 4 oz, 8 1oz and 6 1oz this past week. Gotta get me some of that action.- Day Late And A Dollar Short...
No lodging, I make the 2 hour drive up to his place. No biggie, I don't mind the drive because the fishing is great. I usually go on Sundays, less traffic and not many people there, sometime all to myself, but Mothers' Day this Sunday, don't think my wife would be too happy. Probably hit up the creek after yard work Saturday for a bit. - Day Late And A Dollar Short...
