ahhhhhh... just had to buy a spro rat morning dawn, big hammer swimbaits, jig heads, pit boss and mann's hardnose... You would think I catch fish with all of the tackle I have.

bubble gum senko/trick worms have caught some hawgs around here. Not by me, but, I bought a bunch over winter to use this year in hopes of hooking up with one.

beautiful day. Hit up the creek this morning...low 70's, light wind. Bought some zoom speed craws in blackberry, been wanting to try them for awhile. Nothing today, tried a green pumpkin/char. tail trick worm, nothing. BUT!...the turtles are out! That's a good sign, have been keeping track of when I would see them appear this year. The bugs and minnows are also out. You know what that means.

I would not hold my breath on costa warranty. My rx costas ...they would not warranty at all, even from an authorized eye dr./costa rx dealer. I was pretty po'd about that.(RX costa cost mucho dinero). The arms started deforming...Costa can hug a root. Just google costa warranty horror stories, the past 10 years, their warranties have become vaporware. Buy what YOU like, just giving some info, first hand.

I have a couple of pair....but my lenses are rx, not the standard wiley x lense... wish I could wear off the shelf glasses...

Went a few times this week, and today. Nothing.

There is a place north of me, Frank Jackson state park in Alabama. Nice campground on a lake. Have not camped or fished there yet. Been wanting to, just never fell into place yet...

I don't go to the "events", but I stopped in a local bps on Friday...looking to buy "something". I was so under impressed, I left with nothing. The sales were nothing to drive over there for, I just happened to be right there. Only thing I saw worth getting was the tungsten bullet weights on sale for $4.29, but I reupped a during the xmas sale at TW.

nice. I like the 6xd's too. They work pretty good for catching fish.

my wife has been reminding me all week about tonight....um, for the walking dead...of course. lol Hope it gets good, I missed a couple episodes beginning of this season, got slow and turned into a snooze fest.

Another goosegg today. Lost my buzzbaits craw on first cast....ahhhh...really windy today, current was moving a little. Lost another shakey head/trick worm. Headed home to watch some dvr shows.

lol...I had to rewind that and ask my wife was I seeing what I thought I was seeing. She laughed.

I use the t-rig more often. -I fish a creek more often than I do a lake. -T-rig comes through the submerged branches and limbs better than the shakey head...the creek I fish is full of the stuff. I will use a shakey head in the creek, when I either get tired of losing expensive tungsten bullet weights, or just try something different. Shaket head is pretty good for cold water, not much structure in the deep areas of some of the lakes I do fish. Other than that, I have good success with the t-rig just about everywhere.

I know, I know....I just had to say it, though.

Hit it up after work today. Throwing an 1/8 shakey head with a watermelon trick worm. Got windy...3rd cast, reeling in, thought I got hung up, did not feel a bite, but surprise, caught a decent sub 2#er. No more action, light started to fade....and I didn't even lose a rig today. I just had a feeling that shakey head would not last more than a few casts, but I came home with it still on. yay shakey head.

A-Jay, Great quote(regardless of who said it). Only things I can add is, another great quote from Jonathon Gilliam- "When you have a plan, you respond, when you don't you react." So, plan on getting punched in the face sometime. I must disagree with the reaction to adversity is the definition of a person. But, that's another subject, I will keep it positive.

Hit up a small lake up the road today. Never had any luck there...and still don't. Too much grass for t rig or c rig. Threw a red eye shad for awhile...too much grass for that too. Threw a keitech swimbait...Nothing. A few boats out, talked to one guy, said he caught some big ones last year. Don't really like driving an hour to this place, got bored. Almost 20 years I have tried fishing at this place...not often, but once in awhile. Never even got a bite yet.
