  1. Received my gift this morning, and I just couldnt wait to open it! I would like to thank gone_phishin for the awesome gifts! I have been wanting this exact one ten for a while now, and just never pulled the trigger. Merry Christmas everyone!
  2. I just bought the 7'6 mh xxfast flippin stick, looks like a great rod for $50.
  3. I tried to pm my name and address, got a error msg saying fishindaddy could not receive any new messages.
  4. I'm in! This sounds awesome!
  5. Imagine him dropping on your head while trying to get your bait out of a tree! I believe I would let him have the boat haha
  6. I would recommend a daiwa tatula. Strong drag, buttery smooth, long handle for more winding leverage, magforce z (very forgiving and long casting brake system) and plenty of line capacity for those hard pulling reds. I have used one of mine fishing for reds and it performs flawlessly.
  7. I had a Duckett micro magic 7'3 mh and a Johnny Morris signature series 7'2 mh, and ended up selling the duckett. The Johnny Morris sig series is lighter and more sensitive imo. The duckett was a great rod, it was just the low man on the totem pole when I decided I had too many mh rods.
  8. I would like to see pics of this. I have a tatula spooled with 50lb power pro and it has no grooves in the t wing after about 4 months of fishing.
  9. Y'all be nice! I wanna hear this secret, I got a lake to wipe out! I bet this is the guy who was selling info about the next world record bass location on eBay a while back.
  10. I have a micro magic in the flea market for $100 shipped if you are interested, its a 7'3 mh fast
  11. These two reels are my babies, and I don't know if I could ever let them go. First is a custom painted zillion 100sha with a hawgtech 102mm handle, wormshaft bearing upgrade, Boca orange seals, zillion coastal spool, shimano septum knobs, carbontex drags, and blue accents mounted on a 6'6" HXF Daiko karisma stick. Second is a stock px68 mounted on a 6'10" m-f elite tech smallmouth, awesome setup for light Texas rigs and weightless plastics.
  12. The money maker, the sniper jig, the ambush jig, bouncin' betty, the poison jig
  13. How old is the line on that reel? My seagar red label will get like that every once in a while, but once I spray it with l&l it seems to clear up. I don't treat my lines every use, just like once a week and it seems to work pretty good for me. Just shake it up good and spray it on before you go to bed so that it has all night to "work its magic" 2-3 squirts is plenty
  14. Long story short; noise=friction and friction= no good
  15. Yeah I had a lexa that was really geary, I ended up selling it as well. I just can not stand to feel/ hear the gears in my reels.
  16. I wondered the same thing for the longest time. I noticed it was the worst in shimano reels, I had a curado I, citica e, and calcutta and sold all of tyem in like a week because I hated the gear noise. I have found that daiwa is the way to go if you want a silent reel. I have an alphas ito, a pixy, and a couple of tatulas and you can't even tell they have gears! Quantums are actually really smooth as well, I have an older energy and an exo and both are nice and quiet.
  17. Here is the answer I recieved from Jun at japan tackle; Hi Michael, Thank you very much for email. Unfortunately, Daiwa doesn't sell the gear of Alphas SV, and I may not offer you 7.2 kit. Sorry. You will need to change drag washers. Yorks are the same. Jun
  18. I caught this poor gal last weekend, she hit a popper first thing in the morning and didn't even put up a fight. It was a long fish with a big head (I was able to fit my fist in its mouth) but it was horribly skinny. I have never seen such a skinny bass, I didn't have my scales on me but I highly doubt she was over 1.5 lbs.
  19. Awesome! I will email him tomorrow and post my findings here incase anyone else is wondering. I would also like to throw a set in my px68!
  20. I just recently bought an alphas ito and was looking into replacing the stock 5:8:1 gears with pixy 6:8:1 gears. But now I am curious if the 7:2:1 gear set from an alphas sv would work. Does anyone happen to know if it will work?
  21. That looks awesome!
  22. A couple of years ago, I would go fishing with a few packs of senkos in one pocket and a pack of hooks in the other. Senkos were all I fished with for a few years, and I absolutely wore the fish out. Then I discovered this site and started learning new techniques, and the bait monkey has controlled my paychecks ever since. I don't really catch as many fish now, but the quality and size has improved alot.
  23. I am 24 and will take cork over eva any day. I have rods with cork full grip, cork split grip, Eva split grip, and Eva full grip and enjoy them all. I just think cork looks and feels alot better.
