  1. Does anyone use Sunline Reaction FC for cranks and can give me any info on it? How the stretch and handling? Found some on sale and looking to use it on suspending baits early Spring in 10# test. I'm mainly a Seaguar user, but it seems like a lot of people preach about Sunline on here. Thanks.
  2. Couple years back I tried it in the 10# & 12# and liked the way it handled and the purplish flo color. However, it breaks easy on hooksets imo. I tried both the palomar and improved clinch..same results. Since then I've went to 12# Seaguar AbrazX and have been happy.
  3. Lews LFS on a Duckett Ghost or Veritas rod would be my pic.
  4. Yeah I think they have been out about 15mos. I bought one and plan on keeping the line & guides slicked up good with KVD L&L to help prevent this from happening.
  5. 15# Seaguar AbrazX is what I'd go with. I can't get past how loud braid sounds going thru the guides. That's just me though.
  6. Daiwa Laguna is a good starter reel and small in the hand. Not the smoothest cranking, but I have seen them for $29. Last year's silver/gray model.
  7. I throw 3/8th jigs on all my 6'9" MH/F rods. When I go 1/2 and up it feels a little much for those rods to handle. The 7' was a good choice.
  8. I agree with the 12# - 15# flouro AbazX. 12# with a 6'9" M/F rod I usually can get away with.
  9. This one has an inner knob setting and outer. Not sure I even have to take side cover off to engage the magnets.
  10. Trent, I actually haven't put line on mine just yet. I have the other model that came out last year and it casts flawless. Its the same exact reel just gray in color...same guts.
  11. Nice. Lews will prob be the next reel I purchase. People that use them praise them.
  12. Are you talking about the gold ones? Those are the best ones made 95% of people will tell you. I agree...rock solid.
  13. What reel ya got Trent? I just purchased the new white carbonlite reel. Total thumbs up for $85. I don't think anything is close in that price range
  14. Look at the Carbonlite and compare with the Revo S. Got mine for 84.99 with trade.
  15. Jraut, I have the 6'8" Ghost with the white Carbonlite on it. The rod might be a little stiff for cranks, but doable. The handle is long so feels more like a 6'6" in actual rod length. Id prob agree with the 7'mh. The 6'10"m Ghost is too light imo. Very nice rods though you won't be disappointed.
  16. Thanks for the info. I do have a few BPS reels and have become an expert fixing any issues. You are correct, parts a dirt cheap and abundant on these reels. The Superlite & the BPS Carbonlite are about the same reel besides the duralumin gear drive & shaft.
  17. Has anyone had experience with Browning baitcasters? I'm thinking about getting the Superlite model in the low gear ratio model for finesse cranking. Or possibly the new Carbonlite if I can get over the new white color. $85 during Spring sale.
  18. $70 is pretty limited, but I would go to Bass Pro starting on the 6th of Feb and do a reel trade-in. There are choices in that price range. Many will tell you a Pro Qualifier for $49, but you better go early the opening day. They will go like hotcakes!!
  19. Jakob, I got the Prolite from a couple yrs ago and beat the heck out of it. Put a carbonlite handle on it and semi supertune myself. Its a smooth caster now. I think I paid $59 for it.
  20. The E-Motion grip is very comfortable that's what I noticed right away. Seems like a sturdy rod and light. We will see how it fishes.
  21. I am a fan of any Seaguar line. I went through trying all the cheap fluoro and it's all the same..cheap. Red Label might be a good starting point into the world of fluoro.
  22. I had the new Carbonlite rod in one hand and a Duckett Ghost in the other. I went with the Ghost for $30 cheaper. It felt more balanced and maybe even lighter. The Carbonlite is a very nice rod just not worth $30 more to me.
  23. Not to partially change the subject, but how long do people use their flouro before respooling with new? I probably have 12 trips on my line that I bought last Jan.
  24. Seaguar Senshi is some smooth handling mono and its not too pricey.
