Pflueger reel knob
Hey guys, I have a Pflueger Purist spinning reel that has barely been used and the handle knob is really tacky and almost like melted. Any cool cheap suggestions that fit this model? 1335 I believe or similar to a President 35. Cork or plastic ? Its just a secondary steelhead reel.

Kistler or Megabass
Both are nice. I'm going to start buying all rods from US companies or rod builders. Kistler rods are nice and their customer service was really good when I dealt with them in the past.

Poison Adrena question
I have fished the 6'11 poison and just bought the SC legend tourney in 7-1. I think you will like the handles on the expride and the SC over the poison. The locking nut comes loose and was uncomfortable in my opinion. Cork grips are super nice on both. Very light rods too.

Jerkbait ( Vision 110 ) hookup fail
I think the 842C is a great jerkbait rod option. I think what you are doing is fine. Keep fishing and know your are not going to hook every fish that hits a jerkbait. I fish them often and love tinkering and experimenting with pointers, 110's ect... have fun!

Ultimate 7'6 spinning rod: NRX+ 902 vs Daiwa Steez AGS 7'6 MML "the one"
The 901s was very noddle like when I had one briefly. The 902 I heard was similar but have not fished the 902 or held one. The specs alone confirmed it for me though. It's not throwing anything in the 1/2o oz range. Smaller Jerkbaits maybe...

Ultimate 7'6 spinning rod: NRX+ 902 vs Daiwa Steez AGS 7'6 MML "the one"
I have both series of the steez 7'-6". I agree with KP. The 901 and 902 are light duty rods. The steez is incredibly versatile. You can drop shot one minute and throw a jerkbait the next. Guides hold up great. I don't think you'd be disappointed with either choice since they are great rods but man the Steez is perfect. Also its super light, balanced, and better craftmanship than Loomis (if that is a factor to you).

Recommend a drop shot rod
Either works fine. If you are just using for DS go with the 2000. If you want to do some other stuff with it do the 2500 for more line capacity. That's my opinion.....or whatever you find a better deal on. They both work great. The ballistic MQ is one sweet reel as well.

Recommend a drop shot rod
$3 Fuji hook keeper can be located anywhere you like. I put them on every rod I own. Even if the rod has a hook keeper I don't like.

Recommend a drop shot rod
If you go with the tatula cork model buy the ML F model. Its a really nice DS rod that I fished along side the medium recently. The medium is a powerful rod. Also check out the new SC tourney 6-10 ML XF. Just bought that one and its nice as well. You can buy it on sale for a little over your budget around the holidays I'm sure.

What NRX+ Spinning Rod would be like a 6'8"-6'10" MF from SC?
842S hands down.

St Croix Warranty
Seen enough reviews on the new mojo inshore to stay away but never had an issues on rods I have owned from them. I noticed a few reviews where people put the bad review on every website they can find (same poster) makes me wonder if they are real or if they are just upset for some reason. Rods are fragile so if they are high sticking, pulling hard on a snag incorrectly, hitting the rod on a locker, or stepping on them they break and then bam...SC gets a bad review.

Should I use It or no?
Fish it! Cool that its signed but fish it. I'm wearing my signed jordans right now

St Croix Warranty
That does stink the rod broke and the first use. Maybe damaged during freight or a bad blank? Either way I think SC has one of the best warranty services in the industry. Its rare for a company to have 15 yr warranties. Megabass, Kistler, and several others are not even close.

St. Croix Avid Trek travel rod
Thanks FM! That is most helpful! 7' or 7-6 model?

St. Croix Avid Trek travel rod
Nice! I have checked out Trek before but never pulled the trigger. I figured a few guys would have tried the Avid 3 piece by now but maybe not. Appreciate the reply!

Ultralight bass fishing
I do this all the time. 7' UL with a 1000 Shimano. I toss inline spinners, small cranks, small jerkbaits. Hooked and lost some nice LM due to the small hooks but man its a blast. You also catch some monster crappie and panfish too.

St Croix Legend Tournament Spinning Rod
I owned the exact rod and fished it a few yrs back with a quantum energy and it seemed fine but I was using it for tip down techniques so probably wasn't noticing as much as you are using neds. Id see how the Nasci feels.

St Croix Legend Tournament Spinning Rod
Might want to bump it up to a 3000 in a different model. Looks like the 2500/3000 stradics weigh the same. Still at 7.9 ounces that is not the lightest reel. Maybe a 3000 Nasci @ 8.5 oz?

St. Croix Avid Trek travel rod
spinning in avid trek is what I am most interested in.

Show off your Stuff
I like Stradic as well. They look good

The stradic on a tatula will not catch fish. The two brands actually deter fish when used on the same combo. It will also rain every time you fish and there will always be a banana in your boat

St. Croix Avid Trek travel rod
Hey guys, anyone put some time in on one of these? I know the old tidemaster had breakage issues and wanted to know how these hold up.
