  1. The 6'-11" Megabass Valkyrie is the best spinning rod for jerkbaits I have ever fished out of any brand. It is incredible and worth the coin. I have fished ronin as well and its not even close.
  2. I fish poppers, small cranks, grubs, smaller worms, and small lipless cranks on mine and works perfectly fine to me! I fish a 6'-10" M F crucial and its a favorite.
  3. Not your typical Medium Fast that you would expect from SC. The one I fished years back was more moderate fast than fast in my opinion. The premier, avid, legend all seem to be more fast action when comparing. At least from what I can remember.
  4. Megabass vision plus 1 or 2 ?
  5. Daiwa tatula cork 7'-1 ML St. Croix premier 7' ML
  6. You can finesse fish with the 'one' and then turn around and throw a vision 110 with it. All the 7-6 Daiwa ML/M rods are incredibly versatile.
  7. Isn't the new Ballistic MQ at the same price pt?
  8. Is Shimano better than Daiwa?
  9. I sold all but one of my nrx rods for steez compiles or the blue AGS rods and do not regret it. The one is my favorite hands down. Like others stated...nrx seems to be more technique specific. The one does everything well. I do have the nrx plus in 842S and that is a nice versatile stick as well.
  10. TW has great service. Call or email them.
  11. Always been a fan of Berkley 6lb and 8lb Fireline (smoke). Also like Daiwa Jbraid line in blue.
  12. I love the current Shimano reels but that zillion is sweet too. Silver is just classic.
  13. You have all the sweet silver reels!
  14. I would go with 843C all day long. I like 7' plus rods for longer casts and I don't think this will affect your dock fishing. If you want versatility this rod is what you are looking for.
  15. Another thing I noticed after owning both chronarch and metanium is palming these reels feel different. If I remember correctly the chronarch is longer isn't it? I know the new met is super small for my hands.
  16. black jitterbug at dark.
  17. Wait a sec....let me get this straight. I have to pay to fish?
  18. Just one! 7ft Ultra light spinner with a 1000 strapped to it.
  19. Is this a rhetorical question? ?
  20. I wouldn't veer from the GLX. They are very very close in sensitivity. I have owned both. I'm shocked GLX doesn't get more praise. I like the guides better than NRX and also the fact they had more Fast options but now that the NRX plus is out that is not true. Good luck with the hunt!
  21. Mine lasted 4 years before needing to be replaced due to drying out.
  22. When I got back into fishing and didn't know better I would throw pretty heavy baits on a 6' spinning rod that was not rated for it. I lost a lot of lipless cranks lol. Make sure the rod is rated for what you are using it for. I also had the line catch around the handle and stop a cast in the past as well which would snap lures off. Sometimes you learn things the hard way
