  1. probably one from each manufacturer in each action and power.
  2. The Avid walleye rods do look nice and the legend was updated too in walleye. I'll probably grab one.
  3. Can you fish with the 9'-4"? Sure, its not the best tool due to steelhead rods being more parabolic so working a bass lure will be tough but I'm sure you can find a few techniques. I throw spoons and spinners for trout on rods of that length in the rivers. If my budget was $100 I would go after a St. Croix premier (probably on sale) or a tatula XT spinner. New model just came out at $99. Good luck!
  4. When will St. Croix update the elite! please soon
  5. Loomis/Dobyns guys are not going to have a rebuttal. They are busy fishing the gear not putting it it in a glass display sweet combos pictured though. Really nice
  6. Nice! Tatula is a sweet reel and SC premier is no slouch either. Enjoy!
  7. I love ML fishing rods for bass and anything that swims. keep it!
  8. but that's me lol I appreciate the info guys. Guess its worth stocking up on a few things.
  9. Hey guys, I am trying to follow what is going on with gun laws and some of the bills they are purposing are just nuts. If they are somehow successful in making it illegal to own high capacity magazines what are you guys planning to do with your pistols and AR's? I'm not trying to open a can of worms here but wanted to see what your plan is for guys that have one gun or 30. I am mostly just curious if you guys are even worried about it.
  10. Anyone have the 7' M F spinner? I wanted to see if it has the power to fish jerkbaits. Thanks
  11. OP, the best budget spinner I've owned is the 7'-1 ML F Daiwa Tatula (cork handle). For $150 or less on sale its dynamite. The 7-6 is also really good.
  12. Mostly casting. I just fished in SW last week and the distance you can get with a 7-6 / 8'-0" rod is nuts compared to 7' rod. 6'-10 - 7'-0 won't be a big deal though. Both work.
  13. Thank you sir! You as well. Just need to hook into a AJ size smallmouth now. Personal best isn't near where it should be
  14. Brad, I think you should check out 842S. Its the best all-rounder there is in my opinion. Drop shot, light baits, ned, small topwaters, grubs.
  15. Been bass fishing MI my whole life and can't seem to top 6lbs. Here are a few from a few years back (keep in mind I'm 6'-3" so these may look small). One on a hair jig and one on a lipless crank. I have also caught several in the 5lb-5.5 range. Great pics from others as well. Love this thread!
  16. Hey TNRiver, So you have the MH M 7-4?
  17. BB - would it be a good 1/2 oz. trap rod or go with the MH M model? Thank you sir
  18. That model sounds like a winner. Might have to look into this one.
  19. Yes, but with a nice rod like that I would have a rod builder do it and clean it up nice. There are some tips on here and other forums that tell how to do it yourself. Maybe someone can post that or chime in.
  20. Just remove and buy a Fuji. You like the B rods so far?
  21. I actually have pictures and a list of issues typed out I have had over the last 5 yrs with FedEx. I will never use their services again. The best one was leaving 2 grand in office chairs in the middle of our parking lot in a rain storm on a weekend when we do not receive deliveries at our office. Not a fan of bashing any company but I steer anyone away from using them.
