  1. Snake hits a worm. Dropped my rod and booked it to the top of the hill.
  2. I was that guy last year as well. After I bought my first casting reel, I wanted more... And so I bought 4 more.....
  3. X2. I use one rod for both T Rigs and Jigs in the 6 combo system.
  4. I've always been the kind of guy who said just fish. Focus on your fishing, your gear is important, but its squat if you can't focus on fishing. These last few months I've been buying and trying different stuff... And I find myself drifting towards equipment more in more. I like to gawk at new reels... Read about the technology... I want to blow a bunch of money... He has me! Is there anyway out?
  5. Yeah, the composite is parabolic for crankbaits.
  6. Rarely have I seen moving water freeze in my area. They're are a few creeks. I don't fish them in the winter, but I plan on buying some nice waders and trying it next winter. I'm not a whole lot of help I guess. But nice to meet you!
  7. I'm fishing Lew's as of now and plan to fish them until they fall apart. I'm guessing that technology will catch up before that, so I may buy some new ones before they break... I'd just buy the BB1 and keep em all!
  8. They look good. I buy the BBB cane swimmer or Gander Mt. Swimbait (the same thing) though, because they are similar in terms of softness and action and are usually less expensive.
  9. Worm binder would work too. The Berkley Gulp stuff does not store well outside the original container because of its strange juice stuff.. Kinda like using live bait.. But not quite the same.
  10. I've always heard north west warms first, but I don't know if this is true or if they are connected. That's all the knowledge I've got on that.
  11. If you can put a piece of plastic on a hook, you can dropshot it. Try it and see if it works.
  12. X2 I was shaking a Trap out of tree. It came flying back at me. I was wearing sandles and it smacked me right in the foot! Ouch!!!
  13. A wide spool Lew's or SuperDuty in 5.4:1 might do the trick. Kinda a thread hack, but is there a decent musky rod for $100 or less?
  14. Dark horse Kevin Short comes to win it all in dramatic fashion after the devastating destruction of his home town. Seriously though, he has a good shot at it.
  15. Yeah, the soft bag helps muffle the sound of the individual boxes.
  16. This is the box I was speaking of.
  17. I like to take them and run them just above submerged grass, maybe ticking the veggies every once in a while to entice a bite.
  18. X2. I'm also excited about the Savage Gear hardbaits I picked up. They look superb.
  19. The individual Plano boxes shake, but the bag muffles em pretty good. Are you using a hard or soft box?
  20. I hope that you find what your looking for. I bet you will! Welcome!
  21. Actually, I have vast experience with mono for spinning reel applications. For years, Stren Original and Trilene XL Nylon Monos were ALL I used on every setup. Thanks for your uncalled for assumption sir.
  22. Nylon mono may not be sensitive enough to detect light bites in deeper water.
  23. I don't mind em on the handles. Don't get me wrong, a little here and there looks cool, bit not a bunch. I guess it I better than gaudy white....
