  1. I will say I haven't had the best luck w/Zooms u scented plastics. I don't know why.. Maybe a confidence thing? They feel good and have good action, so I still buy some of their baits, but when I do buy Zoom, I usually spray it w/scent. My go to brand is quickly becoming BIg Bite Baits though, as they have many of the same plastics w/scent for a better value. I also like their brand specific stuff, like the Warmouth, Cane Sticks, Can Thumper, and Fightin Frog. So try another brand of fluke style lure, or maybe spray some scent? Let me know how it goes if you do!
  2. Dropping the soda (if that's what you mean by sugar) isn't as hard as you think! Order a water at a reseruant almost becomes habitual, and has saved me a couple hundred bucks.
  3. I'm pretty sure it's a system w/a stupid head, and a stupid tube, corrrect?
  4. Sight fishing can be a lot of fun, or very frustrating. Oftentimes fish will smack my bait away w/their tail rather than strike it to get it away.
  5. Seems like it would work like a t rig, very innovative!. Weighted hooks are also a good option.
  6. Love me some Wheeler. He fished decently well in the FLW tour event on Hartwell, which was a mix of good and foul weather throughout the event. I'll keep an eye out for him. It would be great to see a local guy win. He's a great guy and great fisherman.
  7. I plan to try one of these out myself as well, I'll pick one up once I can scrounge up 15 bucks
  8. Lizard, or a large flipping tube. It will look like it is invading their nest.
  9. Great movie. Very real. All American soldiers are heroes, regardless of decorations or medals. If you are a vet, thank you for your service.
  10. ULM has some good fisherman. One of their guys is going to the Classic right?
  11. Will do, thanks for the suggestion!
  12. I have to say I do like that orange hue...
  13. Big Game and Suffix are too thick of lines for my liking. I stick with XL.
  14. I mean something like this... The file should be attached Also, not bad to my surprised thanks for asking!
  15. In that case, I would fish those cane thumpers on casting gear through the grass. If the grass is really heavy, I'll fish it on my frogging setup (7' MH w/7.X reel and 50# braid). Then I would fish a smaller swimbait (*** swim bento is what I'm going to try this year) on a 1/4 oz jighead bouncing it off the hard/bare bottom w/spinning gear and 8# line (I'm gonna try Berkley IronSilk for that this year)
  16. I believe by legged frog he is referring to one of these....http://www.***.com/lunkerfrog.html
  17. Yumbrella Tripod. I tossed it even on a medium Rod fine.
  18. X2 but they don't have low gear models. The PQ has a 4.7 and 5.4 gear sets, and a deep spool on those models. Truly said, I would buy a Lew's BB1.
  19. Football: Stroking or Crawling Through Rocks Swim: Swimming Through Wood and Grass Bladed Swim: Grass Arkie: Similar to football, but I'll also bring it through wood because it comes through better than a football jig Flippin: The name says it all Finesse: Similar to football, but for lighter applications That about sums it up
  20. I bought some of these online. They are the bomb
  21. Prespawn and spawn are not dictated by specific time, but by water temp which we generally associate w/a time of year.
  22. Depends on preference. If I were gonna buy a nice, dedicated crank rod, I'd go with BPS Crankin Stick wich is a composite.
  23. Here is mine (but it might be a long list) Strike Kong Lucky Shad Berkley Flicker Shad Bagley Balsa Shad Spro Rock Crawler *** Swim Bento Gene Larew Rally Grub And plenty more.....
