  1. Its that time of year again. The Noxen Rattlesnake Roundup is going on in Noxen, PA. Got up there today and took some pictures.
  2. Dude that is the funniest thing I've seen today.
  3. Are you the guy that invented the Banjo Minnow?
  4. As you stated, they were probably trying to steal the bait out of the hooked fishes mouth. Bass are opportunists.
  5. That cat is a mutant. Bravo.
  6. Its sad to hear about this. Having law enforcement officers in my family, news like this always hits home. My prayers go out to the families and friends of these officers. Bluebasser, I know its not going to be easy to just carry on. I hope you and the officer's other friends can find strength in each other and the memories of your friend.
  7. A friend found this bait in a tree at a local lake. I told him it was a double plopper and goes for $17 to $19. He said "Why would anybody throw a bait that expensive?".
  8. If you ever get to talk to a trial lawyer I think you would believe differently. I got to talk to one when a relative of mine was involved in a shooting. The lawyer basically told me that even if he was justified he could still be convicted of the shooting or a huge number of other crimes that range from discharging a weapon near a residence to disturbing the peace. Most of which could lead to him losing lots of money, his job, hunting license and freedom even if he wasn't jailed. House arrest, monitored release or what ever you call it doesn't look like fun to me. All I'm trying to say with my posts is THINK BEFORE YOU ACT. Don't be like the guy with the gasoline because then you become no better than him.
  9. My opinion is the boaters did the right thing in this case. Reported the individual to the proper authorities and didn't escalate the situation. There are a lot of crazy people out there. I know some people say they would have shot the man. The legal ramifications of that are huge. Even if you are justified legally that doesn't mean you get off free. There are lawsuits that have bankrupted people who were, by the law, in the right. Not to mention the stress of any investigation hanging over your head. Not worth it. ^^^Bingo. Be careful out there. Remember its suppose to be fun. If someone is trying to ruin that fun, move along.
  10. Unfortunately for Justify, they won't let him do it the natural way. Too much money involved to let that happen. It will be as exciting for that horse as us going to McD's for a meal.
  11. The way you rig that trick worm Glenn is cool. It makes a big difference in the action of the bait. The times I've used a trick worm I rigged it in the classic unweighted texas rig and couldn't get much action on it. Next time I'm gonna try it your way.

    Dang that is huge.
  13. Nice hawg. I do admit tubes aren't the first bait I go to but seeing the beast you got I should rethink that.
  14. Why do I fish for bass? Because shooting them would be wrong...……...just WRONG!
  15. I do what you use to do. Attach the last 1/2 of the spool to the fresh line with a double uni and never had a problem. Granted I never let the spool get so low that the knot would snag as I was casting. I do this on both my bait casters and my spinning reels. Never had a problem. My suggestion, don't wrap the line so many times. I only go thru 3 or 4 times.
  16. Welllllllll……….
  17. I could be wrong and according to most people I am but I think the top pic is a blue gill and the bottom is a crappie. Just my guess.

    I just want the boat.

Just subscribed to Gerald Swindle's YouTube channel and the first video I watched was this one. This is what he does in his spare time.

If that's how you treat your boat I'd hate to see what your lawn mower looks like. ?
  21. Only one way to deal with this situation.....
  22. Jones has been on the tour for a long time. He has over 250 tournaments under his belt. He's made countless runs wide open on all kinds of bodies of water in all kinds of weather. This is what he does for a living. If anybody can drive a boat its him. I tend to believe him when he says it was a broken skeg. Even the picture shows the skeg that is broken.
  23. Thankfully I have some pretty good bait & tackle shops in my area so I don't have to go to BPS or Cabela's. I do go there but mostly just to look or spend a gift card a family member got me.
  24. I'm surprised that Swindle had too many fish in the livewell. These guys live by the rules and a infraction like that doesn't seem to happen that often. Guess it was just a brainfart.
  25. I wish I still had the first lure I made. It was nothing more than an old spoon that I hammered on and drilled 2 holes in, added some split rings and a treble hook and I had a casting spoon. Caught trout, catfish, pickerel, pike, bass and even snagged a sunfish or two.
