Suggestions for models? I run 3 combos. 1 little spinner for finesse and 2 bc. 1 heavy braid for coverage and one other for everything else

1000 bucks for a reel is crazy. I just want to step up from my walmart gear and not have to buy again for a long time

I am a consumer that will pay for long term function. I dont mind paying more up front if it saves long term. I like honda, sebo, ping, craftsman etc for name brands of stuff i own. Things built it last. I got a coyple ugly stiks which are heavy and lack feel but basically said to be indistructable. I am looking for a spinning reel and baitcaster that will serve me well for many years. I just need a lefty baitcaster, and have no brand loyalty with fishing gear so lmk what is the tank of reels

President for sure. I have the cardinal and literally bought the president this weekend. Just casted it at the river and man it is so much nicer. President on my spinning reel and silver max on my baitcaster, but going to break down and get a mettle h2o xpress even know i cant find it in lefty. Ill learn to do the righty bc

Trees yes, my reference was to junk on bottom, rocks, logs, etc. Frogs do seem to snag less. I lov. Top water. My favorite to fish hands down

Is this combo any good? I got one just because it is normally 40 but 10 off and 50% off the 30. It also has a 10 dollar mail in rebate. I am thinking of going tomorrow getting the rest of them just because a rod/reel for 5 bucks is crazy

Awesome. I can keep everything i own in my bag and it weighs under 15 lbs. My stuff is very specific for where i fish. Basically theough trial and error i sold anything i didnt hit with. Weight isnt issue just convenience vs intended purchase i guess

Topwater is my bread and butter. I fish late evenings alot and i dont worry about them getting hung up. Being a bank guy top water is necessary.

I have both a plano tackle bag and backpack. I gave up on hard boxes, just like trays better. I keep going back and forth on which to use. I like the backpack because it keeps my gear out of way, but the bag is easier to organize. I just wanted some more opinions on this.the bag is always falling off my shoulder lugging 2 poles a net etc. I feel like once i get a boat it will be bag only all the time but til then i am just not sure. I hate buying a tackle bag and not using it but man the backpack is easier.
