  1. Shoot some marvel mystery oil in it. That will give ya some initial lubrication and then mix a proper ratio of 2 stroke mix and let her rip.
  2. lol I want it to stay clean lol that even though I know it won’t. lol it’s getting there. But I live by chrome won’t get ya home.
  3. Got the carpet swept, blown out, and vacuumed. Lots of gravel dust and shop dust. It has sat for a few years. Even though covered it had a lot of dust and a lot of the lakes here are off gravel roads. So everything is always dirty. But it looks a lot better now. Also Checked the legitimacy of the custom measuring device they had. It’s on the money lol. I will be leaving i like the character and functionality.
  4. Congrats on the pb! Great looking fish. I’ve been catching them on an EVO as well. Nice fish!!! Things are warming up here I Iowa. But man did you see the weather for the weekend ugh it’s cold again. I haven’t had any luck on any good sized fish yet this year
  5. Ya know I was literally thinking about that. Being straight legged on one leg and bent on the other could get old fast. I may make a pedal box at work or just buy one. There is space up there on the deck and the pedal does look tall. And I did not realize that about the cable drive. Thanks for the great info!!
  6. I was pretty good this winter lol. I bought one new rod that falcon finally had in stock, a new lews reel I got on sale at fleet farm. I bought a few bags of plastics, some sinkers to try the free rig, a couple 1/4 lipless cranks, a couple chatterbaits, a couple bags of Ned baits, and a boat.
  7. Oh wow thank you for posting that link! Oh yeah you are toying around some weight lol. Dang that’s impressive tho!
  8. I’ll leave the transom mount on the back then for sure. The outboard doesn’t start and is missing some pieces of the choke. It’s honestly just dead weight lol
  9. Well said. Hope it melts soon for yall. Iowa is ice free now
  10. I would probably change the channel lol
  11. It really is. Doesn’t seem to happen often in most of my adventures lol
  12. Got her emptied out and went through the things it came with. And removed the front chair. I need to get a battery box and mount it in the back. The old metal tool box was just sitting there. I kept the tools ( not that I need anymore of that crap lol) and will use a smaller lighter plastic box. I’ll clean the floor up some in the back and in the front compartment. I replaced the plug with a new brass one and bought an extra spare. Trolling motor wiring is in good shape just need to replace the ends it’s good 6 gauge wire atleast. The previous owner knew about voltage drop apparently since it’s a decent run from front to back.
  13. Somehow I missed your comment! lol I had an aluminum canoe with a 30 pound and yeah you weren’t fighting much tide or wind. I think you and everyone else are right. I should probably spend the lil extra on a 55 pound
  14. Man that’s awesome. I just don’t wana go to underpowered but I doubt I need a ton. Did a stronger one help you that much?
  15. Oh no I wouldn’t run around on max just for the sake of doing it I’ll check but I feel like that’s the higher budget models
  16. Very wise statement
  17. So for my little 14 foot aluminum v haul. I’m using a trolling motor for my main propulsion and fishing obviously. It has some decking In it but nothing crazy heavy by any means. I’m going to be replacing the trolling motor and I was curious. I plan to go with an edge bow mount. With the foot pedal. 45” shaft length. But the question is 45,55,65 pound thrust? What do you guys recommend and think I should go with?
  18. Thank you for the advice. That’s actually a good point. An yes it has ore locks
  19. Yes his was amazing @FloridaFishinFool has an amazing one as well. Mine will not be that lol
  20. So I’m gonna make this thread to document the things I do to the boat and trailer and how I set it up. I was a 20 year diesel mechanic and now an industrial plant mechanic at a wastewater plant. So Id say im handy. But I’m not great at documenting and telling a story. So this will be some comical stuff, informational and some crappy pictures. But I know before I got this boat I looked at a lot of threads and it helped me. So I’m hoping maybe it will help someone else some day. So I’ll add pics and info as I do things. I’ve done a lot already but will spread the posts out.
  21. Thank you so much. Be exciting to be able to pitch jigs instead of cast them all the time! Exactly! I’m so excited for that. No more brush or trees blocking a spot or not getting to the other side like you said. I full expect to struggle more now that I have so Much available to fish but I’m excited for that learning and struggle
  22. Very well said
  23. Oh wow I didn’t think they would use artificial. Ma that’s pretty cool
  24. Love to hear that! I’m gonna steal the we caught a good time line lol
