Joedodge boat build/set up
Ordered a foot pedal tray today. Should be here Thursday. I’d like to get the trolling motor pedal more comfortable to operate. I still need to adjust the tension screws. But it may be ok once it’s recessed in the floor

Favorite T rig, and C rig bait.
Rage bug is great a the missle baits d bomb. Are probably my favorite besides some kind of worm. Love a big ribbon tail in summer. Carolina rig? I don’t have a coffee cup that hasn’t been washed in 20 years or enough packs of smokes to hang with them Carolina rig guys

I agree with this. Last year I caught 2 pounders that fought like beasts. My PB at 5-6 once hooked I knew I had a killer fish on. But honestly after the big initial run he was just wallowing weight I had to get to the bank and lipped.

Low visibility lure colors?
Thank you! That’s a great help. Some real good comments on this post. Do you fish Colorado or willow for your main blade on that type of condition?

Low visibility lure colors?
Everything I own is basically green pumpkin/watermelon red or junebug/black And blue. I’ve never really fished white or bone or all chartreuse or anything. I’m Pretty dang simple. Even my topwater baits are just solid black.

Yeah I believe he’s further south than me by a good ways. His lakes are a decent bit warmer than ours. Yeah we are back to chilly and windy with no sun for the next week Or so. We just can’t get a good stretch of stable weather yet

Didn’t catch anything from the boat yesterday. Water is about 44degrees still. But pond water was about 55. Hot on 4 of them about this size in a 15 minute time and a stretch of about 60 feet. Had 3 others I missed. They were up real close to the bank. You had to pause your retrieve and almost line watch then set the hook. Fun sunrise this morning before the 30 mph winds started lol.

Trucker hats
A lot of my hats are the trucker style. I much prefer a ball cap style. But they are getting harder to find. My heads small lol. And finding a trucker hat that fits right and doesn’t look stupid is hard to do. And I wear a hat every day mostly

Thank you so much. Iowa standard I like that. Sounds like I need to tie up some black swim jig and blades jigs and jigs. Not arrogant at all! We aren’t known for huge fish here and man do you ever find huge fish!! Excellent point. My PB I caught last year was on a black/chartreuse jig I tied.

Low visibility lure colors?
That’s what I’ve always lived by but it’s been darker colors in stained water. I’m quickly seeing I need to try more white and chartreuse Oh I missed that. Thank you so much Glenn gonna watch now

Low visibility lure colors?
I was thinking white and chartreuse. But I always have the urge for dark colored skirts. I am gonna have to get some Colorado/willow leaf combo blades. And get some skirt material to make white and chartreuse bladed jigs. I do love junebug for plastics I’ve got plenty of that lol

Low visibility lure colors?
So as I’m expanding from ponds to actual lakes this year. I’m noticing the lakes here are low visibility. Not so much muddy chocolate water but say 12 inches green water maybe 18 inches max. I’m really wanting to work bladed jigs and spinnerbaits hard this year. What color skirts and blades do you generally use in water like this? Feel free to offer any kind of plastics or other bait colors as well. I’m honestly a lot more used to pretty clear water with good visibility. So it all helps.

Me too lol. Our weather has to get more stable and the water temps to come up I think. I really hoped to be able to rustle one up today. Just couldn’t make it happen
