  1. License plate mounted, registration stickers on, trolling motor and breaker wired. Everything heat shrank. A few tools in the small dry box. Ready for Saturday morning to see how it does
  2. They look amazing. How do you like the rubber skirts on them? I’ve only ever tied silicone for spinnerbaits ?
  3. Those are beautiful!! Very nice work
  4. I do this on jigs a lot with stick baits that get tore up
  5. That’s interesting. I’d be worried about them Just getting the worm and not the hook. I’d definitely try it though. I’m a freeloader or spunk shad fan personally.
  6. Spinnerbait just won’t get it done for me. I tried hard last year. Different sizes, colors, retrieves, trailer vs no trailer. Calm days. Windy days. Idk I just could not get a consistent bite on them. I think I caught 2? All I’ve thrown this year pretty much is a bladed jig and doing very well. I did get one on an underspin this year though. Oh and dang rattle traps. I just can’t get it on one lol.
  7. It really does lol. I thought it was kinda hoky at fist. But we’ve had rain, snow and a blizzard. And it held the cover up and worked just fine lol.
  8. This was a good reminder I need to renew mine I believe lol
  9. Ok sorry it took me a few days to get ya a pic. These are what he used. Home for the day because it’s spring break for my daughter. after me and the kiddo went shopping I got out there and got the old all steel mount off the bow. Alot heavier than it looked for certain. I got it drilled out and got the edge mounted. Lined up with the keel and was able to keep it from interfering with the cover or the cover cross bar. Have not wired it up yet. It started flurrying. Thank god tomm we start warming up again.
  10. No it doesn’t lol. Can’t think of anything Thank you! I bought the wrong noko I got the baby 1 amp. So I returned it and got a cheaper 10 amp charger. The noco 10 is on the list as the spring and summer goes on to get
  11. Boat and trailer are registered. And I took a play from the kayak guys play book. Bought a small utility box. And now that the shop I work for supplies all my tools I have 6 of these Milwaukee 12 volt 5.0 amp hour batteries. Made a small battery box that sits out of site and won’t be stepped on in the bow. Buttttt I think the transducer may be bad lol. Not positive. But it certainly acts wonky.
  12. So I finally took a closer look at the paper work for the boat. It’s a 1960 Cherokee. I looked it up. They seem to have been a fairly popular line of small aluminum v haul boats. Manufactured by McKenzie boat manufacturing. Built in Tennessee in the 60s and 70s.
  13. Thanks so much! The detail was great and excellent points. Boosted my confidence for sure. That’s what I did with the jig last year.
  14. No kidding wow. That impressive for a $59 rod. Are they fairly sensitive? I mean for a $59 rod I don’t expect much
  15. Oh I’ve watched a ton of their videos. They have a ton of great builds and ideas. I’d love to do some of them some day for sure.
  16. Oh we for sure have that. But most of the lakes I’ll be frequenting aren’t party lakes
  17. Bank fishing? Idk I can take a lot before I get to annoyed lol. And have had some great days. Back when I kayak and canoe fished. Oh boy was I young and have put myself in some situations I had no business in. Especially Fishing the intercostal and bridges in Florida. Interested to see what gets annoying in my new boat.
  18. I have not. I will give it a look
  19. Funny you say that Pat. I watched that video and some other Rick clunn vids today since the weather was awful
  20. That’s the plan lol
  21. Very well said. I agree lol
  22. My heavy already has a reel with 15 pound big game on it. I love that mono and use it for a lot of techniques. I just gotta reel very slow lol. All my reels are 7.5.1
  23. I actually don’t lol. I don’t have a cranking rod. Several MH and H action rods in fast or moderate fast. But I don’t own a glass rod
