I cruised some sites and just couldn’t find anything I needed. I have a small list for spring but that’s it. Friday will be our annual bass pro trip ( wife and daughter buy matching pajamas every year) not sure how that even started lol. But I know I won’t leave empty handed

Excellent post!!! I have definitely simplified over the last 10 years. In florida. I kayak and canoe fished in salt water flats and lakes. And bank fished. I tried lots of lures and colors. I did well. But it was just too much. So I’ve just simplified to make my time fishing more enjoyable. And dove deeper into paying attention to the water and cover. And a lot more on presentation of a bait instead of a million baits.

I’ve been cruising tackle warehouse. Other than replacing some line maybe adding one rod and a pack of bellows gill to try out. I’m not buying a dang thing except jig heads and some skirt tabs lol

I don’t have a budget Realy. But last year I stocked up after the move and I’m pretty well set for this coming season. I try to buy on sale and not buy a ton honestly.

Last night it got down to 31 degrees. But today and tommorow are reaching 56 in the afternoon. Beautiful sunny morning. So I went and tried. Little bit of wind and sunny but 44 degrees. I fished for an hour and got two this size. They were collddddd. I enjoyed the trip though. They bother were caught on a weedless underspin with a 3 inch crush city mayor on a spinning rod. Not a bait or combo I fish much so it made the trip that much more enjoyable.

Abu has just never been a reel on my radar. Some of them have looked nice and got great reviews. But not one have I really ever felt the need to purchase.

I’ve been downsizing like crazy since I moved. Honestly a few different soft plastic worms and and creature baits, jig trailers and jigs. And a frog and popper and chopo. I have a few jerk baits and rattle traps and that’s it. I make the jigs myself now. And honestly can generally carry what I need in a fanny pack those deal from bps. I stopped bait hoarding
