I totally agree. Better QC would be great. If I grab the reel and hold there’s and twist the reel seat creeks. Don’t does it on hook sets and fighting fish. But otherwise it’s actualy a nice rod sensitivity wise.

Not often my daughter will come fishing with me. But lil lady got one today on a watermelon red swimming yum dinger. First one she’s ever hooked and caught all on her own with a lure.

Curious if anyone else has one or likes it? I got the 7’1” MH on sale about a month ago. Casts well, super sensitive and light. I’d say closer to a M power personally. but good grief the build quality is crap for a $160 rod. The reel seat creeks when working lures or fighting fish, the guide wraps have defects in the thread. Just generaly does not seem worth the money.

I love a large ribbon tail. I rarely fish a 7”. Always a 10 inch or magnum 10 inch. It is a warmer months bait for me. But the action is amazing. They get bites dragging,hopping or slow rolling. Anymore though I basically only throw. Trick worm, ribbon tail or ultravibe worm. I think next year I’m gonna step up to the magnum trick worm and magnum ultravibe.

Got this lil chubbers this evening. 3/16 sniper jog and a missle baits d bomb as a trailer. Slow hopped/drug on the bottom. Got a lil sickness on her tail. Feel like she had a funky upper jaw too. Caught two other little ones before leaving.

This is really sound advice and similar to what a buddy who did all the reel work at a local shop I used to frequent in Florida used to say.

Well of course. Berkeley just isn’t a bait I really ever used so made some conversation. I got a couple packs of 10 inch ribbon tails today on sale at fleet farm for $3 a pack. I’d buy those all day every day. But idk about the price on the craws and creatures lol. Those are more than strike king.

Since I’ve fished before going to work for so long. I’ve gotten good at last cast and meaning it and having to actually go lol.

Local fleet farm had Berkley 10 inch ribbon tails for $3 a pack on clearance so I grabbed a couple.
