Gene Larew
I know Larew has been around a while but I am planning on simplifying my soft plastic assortment in 2019 so I was thinking of giving the Punch Out Craw, Hammer Craw, and Biffle Bugs a go for next year. Anyone else use them? Got any feedback?

North FL Guys
Was down in Jacksonville area this past week and saw a bunch of boats gathered at a ramp called Melton Nelson Park in Yulee, FL and it appeared they were having a club tourny on Lofton Creek. I had never heard of it before google earthing it. Apparantly its a pretty good LM bass fishery. Can anyone verify this??

Aluminum Boat Recommendations
I have a Triton VT-17 with 50HP Merc and I absolutely love it. I fish local circut here in my home region and it does fine for me. Easy to pull, easy on gas, easy to run.. I can run 32 by myself on calm days no wind and around 28 two ppl loaded down. The only true negative is that aluminum boats get blown around pretty good in wind. My next goal is to get a power pole.

Question on landing fish w/jigs
I have noticed on a few occasions that if I am flipping my jigs into heavy cover like a thick lilly pad field that sometimes when I set the hook the fish will get "locked" in tight before I can get him up over the surface. I know he's getting me wrapped in the stems. I've kept constant pressure on him and when I have gone in to get the fish he's off and the jig is hung on the stems. Is he throwing the bait after getting hung or am I putting too much pressure on him while "holding" him in there until I can get to him? I have been using a heavy rod/fast action with a right handed reel 6:8/1 with 12lb drag. I'm going to upgrade to a faster reel 8.3/1 with a 20lb drag in LEFT handed retrieve so that I can control the heavy rod with my right hand during the hookset. I am hoping this will help me with better results. Was just wondering if there are any tricks or hidden tips someone could offer to help me land these fish.

My First 10lb Bass!
I didn't wanna to say anything but I will since everyone else did. I would have to see that thing hanging on a scale at 10.00 to believe it. It looks more like a solid 6 lbs. I remember once in a tournament when I first began tourny fishing I flipped a jig/craw next to a stump buried deep in some lilly pads. One hammered it and I swear I thought it was easily 4-5lbs. I got so excited as most of the time a 4 lb bass will win big bass in our evening club tournaments. I put that thing on the scale before dropping him in the live well - 2.67 lbs LOL. Still a solid fish. I placed in the top 5 that day. No fish weighs as much as the eye test says it does - IMO.

Absolute deepest diving crankbait you’ve used and can confirm depth?
There are always variables to that. The deepest diving crank in the word will not go as deep if you use mono and a slower reel/retrieve as opposed to someone with flouro and burning it with a high reel. You can also make cranks run shallower than advertised and deeper than advertised.

Any Carbonlite 2.0 Fans ?
I bought the 7’6 Heavy/Fast to pair with my Okuma as a flipping rod. I absolutely love it. in fact, I plan on buying two combos in 6’6 MH as casting rods this spring. Last year, Bass Pro had them on discount during their Spring Sale as buy the Carbonlite 2.0 reel and get the rod for free.

Are these bass?
I know a bait ball shows up as a cloud. Does single fish show up as arches too? If that's the case how do you know when your seeing a fish and seeing debris? Is there a way to distinguish between the two?

Two questions about spinnerbaits
I throw my spinnerbaits on a 6'6 MH/F in a 6.8/1 with 15lb P-Line. It's one of my confidence baits. I love throwing around shallow cover, along weed edges, and over grass flats. For clear water, I primarily throw white or glimmering blue/silver with silver willow blades in daylight conditions and black with colorado blade at night. If the water has a slight stain to it I will throw a touch of chartreuse with gold blades. The gold seem to flash a little better in stained/dirty water.
