  1. Definitely offshore in that vid. Which could mean two things, he knows the lake structure really well, or he's dropped his own. By the way, this is no time to be giving up on fishing The Nock, this is when it gets really good. I had a 15 fish day, 11 fish day, and 9 fish day within the last week.
  2. I believe he is talking about Bob Lusk "The Pond Boss" in the original post. No doubt the man knows bass.
  3. More 68's just in time for the Fall bite!
  4. Big cranks, big swimbaits, big spoons, loaded a-rigs. All some of my favorite techniques!
  5. Sweet rig, all ready for "acessorizing"! Check out the Kayak DIY and fishing sites on FB, a valuable resource.
  6. Bogs makes big and fat (13"+) lizards.
  7. Tom, I see a lot of this, schools of small bass, and was thinking this is the time to pull out my Mattlures baby bass, mix it up, but my home waters has huge population of Alwives and gizzard shad in large schools now and the fish seem to be relating to them as opposed to the bass.it's not like the schools are swimming in the same areas either, bass shallow, shad relating to the creeks. Think it's time to put down the A-rig, and go shallow with the bass schools?
  8. Funny, my Solunar Clock is calling for a one fish day, from Saturday thru Monday, it's lowest rated days all week. ???
  9. Good question, right after the hatch, or do they work like any topwater and draw bites year round? I noticed that there is a marked decline in bites when I'm throwing my Flip n the Bird, hollow body.
  10. Gotta let us know how you do with your 3:16, I haven't been able to buy a bite, I'm hoping it starts producing next spring. I didn't have mine until late in the season, so I didn't get to throw it during, what I think, would be "prime time".
  11. I had success, like Blue said, earlier in the season with my "glides", but I"m hoping it picks up with the season changing, and the fish start looking for big easy meals preferably, as opposed to chasing the schools of shad.
  12. If wind is a problem in a yak, especially something like the ATAK, imagine what it's like in a personal pontoon, like was suggested earlier. That is my main problem not having a motor. Having gotten used to fishing standing up, I can't fish sitting, and if I'm standing I need to control my boat while doing so. So switching to a fishing kayak, which I really want to do, has created a dilemma, that I'm slowly figuring out, thanks to some FB kayak groups, that have been really helpful.
  13. Big trout for bait!
  14. Here in PA we're restricted to three lure umbrella rigs, so I started putting the lipless cranks, and the medium diving crankbaits on my three wire rigs. Season for the rigs is just getting started, so I will update after I've put some hours in with them.
  15. https://youtu.be/6wuOWvwdeV8 ...and dozens more if you Google the topic, but like I said in the other thread, "there's a time, and place for both".
  16. A time and place for both.
  17. Korkers, but a cheap alternative is the rubber slip on spikes, like Stabilicers that people use in winter for traction on ice.
  18. Should try sunrise, mid week, practically have the lake to myself, at least to 8'ish or 9.
  19. Mattlures Dead twitch, ah, might need a new set up to throw it though.
  20. Fishing on a holiday weekend?! We went for a sunset cruise on the pontoon, it was nice, but didn't fish.
  21. I have a small lake I fish, and I'm certain that the bass follow the two resident swans (Ozzie&Harriet) around when they're feeding. I always catch bass, nice fish too, right under, or directly behind them.
  22. How far does it launch your bait, you better hope you don't get spooled?
  23. Agree with pgersumky, but I also use my rats around rip-rap at night, or real early in the morning.
