What's The Most Challenging Thing You Find About Fishing
Finding somewhere to fish without a boat, or finding someone to fish with is the hardest for me.A little conversation can make a bank worth working for an extra hour until you get a bite. The most exciting thing for me about fishing is probably the entirety of the experience in all honesty. It can be such a beautiful thing to sit there and have a conversation full of laughs, jokes and digs about the ole lady and cut off mid sentence to say fish on. The side bets me and my one buddy usually do, 5 for the biggest, 5 for the most. The scenery at times can be absolutely astounding, views you'd never see from any other position on land. The feeling of catching that first fish, the adrenaline of catching your new personal best. The somber melodramatic exit of a lake or river before you're ready to leave but unfortunately you have to work tomorrow. The excitement of the arrival, rushing to get the boat in, or get walking down the bank side to a promising spot. I honestly can't find a moment of fishing I don't love. That's why I do it.

Attaching Braid to Fluorocarbon
Alberto or fg knot. It depends for me based on how rough the water is. If it's too rough I'llalways do the alberto, it's easier for me. Although from what I've read the fc knot is stronger.

Anyone else do this when they can't fish?
Practice tying knots, leaders to braid, leaders to hooks, braid to hooks? Go over their reels, clean them, check all of the line, go through bags of soft plastics and sort them even more detailed than you'll ever be able to maintain on the water? Use paint to touch up hard plastics? Pretty much anything you can to be as close to fishing without catching fish? As I type this I'm tying knots over and over again.

Who was bragging about backing up a trailer?
I still work in lawn care, I can vouch for this. F250 with an 8 foot bed and a 14 foot double axel box trailer.

Finesse Jig Trailer
If you're worried about durability the biospawn craws are a great way to go. Thick bodies and they hold up well.

Fluke Question ?
Upside down isn't a huge issue. Sometimes I rig them upside down on purpose, just a mental thought I have that hey maybe they want it like this today. I have no proof that it works, no idea if it's different enough to matter. The only issue you're going to have is if you have the hook on the bottom end you're going to get lower lip hooksets. Hook it straight, practice it at home. Or you're going to have to switch to weighted hooks to keep the hook pointed in the right direction.

Best And Worst (Hardest) State To Fish?
Any lake surrounded by private property for a man without a boat. Worst fishing ever.

Did I get a deal?
You can usually find them around 90$ on aunction sites. So unless they're discontinuing it for a better model that I haven't heard of I would say yes you definitely got a pretty good deal. They retail for 130ish$ as you said. So not bad all in all, roughly half price.

Keitech Noisy Flapper
I don't know why but I always struggle with top water baits and having confidence in anything new until I see it work. I still to this day don't use hardbody top water baits because they're so uncomfortable to me.

Finesse Jig Trailer
I forgot to list my personal favorite somehow, biospawn vile craws. They're fairly small and manageable with smaller setups for trailers as well, only 4". I'm playing with one in a fish bowl right now.
- Intervention Needed !

River smallmouths
I've seen fat 20" smallies sitting in shin deep water over some gravel past a bend catching baitfish as they come around.

Finesse Jig Trailer
Fluke jrs, some baby craws, or single/double tail grubs usually work pretty well. It depends on what presentation you're going for, and where you'll be fishing. I fish a couple of lakes and rivers through Wisconsin so I'd love to help.

Go To Topwater Bait?
If i am fishing something top water, it's usually a weightless fluke, either a paddle tail, or sometimes a biospawn vile craw if I want a little more action. I haven't gotten into hard baits or popper style baits for top water yet. Maybe one day.

Hook For Tubes
Eagle claw makes a weedless hook I tend to use for all of my tube fishing, I tend to have issues with tubes on most other hooks I've used. This one you just slide the tube right through the hook and let the hook keeper do the work for ya'.

Where are all the Illinois Guys ?
Anyone planning any outings this next weekend? I might try to get out during the week and throw some soft baits at the fox river for no reason.

Just renewed my bass master subscription in December, it's my wifes gift to me every year so I'd have to go with them or she might kill me.
