Jordan Lee and Wheeler are on great runs the last few years. Both are incredible.
  2. My only question is do they have good cell service. I think this is a major consideration of all tours now.
  3. That was great. Tomorrow should be fun!
  4. 20 minutes left and you lose $50,000 by 1 ounce. Ouch!
  5. Mark Rose doing WORK with the spinning reel!
  6. I like the rule changes this year and all the bonuses for this event. All the BPT events have been exciting this year. I love Jordan's reaction when that fish jumped.
  7. And here comes Jacob Wheeler. That dude is unreal.
  8. They have the option to fish it. If they do, they aren't guaranteed a trip to championship. Both said no way. They will take the guaranteed $7,000 with a shot at $200,000.
  9. I think it is $25,000 for big bass each qualifying. $50,000 for big bass in knockout round. I know for sure today I heard them say $100,000 for biggest fish in championship round and $100,000 for championship round winner. Also 3 pound minimum in championship round. The extra stuff for this tournament really makes it exciting. Mark Rose's 9 lber on spinning gear was fantastic.
  10. Almost every time out rock bass, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and northern pike. Throw in a sunfish, bluegill and musky every once in a while. Growing up it was perch, Northern Pike, walleye and bullheads. Lots and lots of bullheads.
  11. T-1 Original Terminator Titanium spinnerbaits.
  12. Bass I have never noticed slime or smell. I catch a lot of Northern Pike and I rinse my hands off after everyone. They are very slimy and if I didn't rinse I'd probably throw my rod in the water. I always have a towel on the deck of my boat.
  13. I carry 2 nets in my boat. I use it whenever using crank baits or landing a larger fish. Bass can be dangerous, but small pike are the worst. I try to unhook pike at the side of the boat when possible, but sometimes when they are hooked bad I have to net them. The lake I fish also has a very small population of muskies. Three years ago I had to hand land a large one. I now have a musky net in my boat also. If I am lucky I get to use it once a year, but when I do I am really glad I have it.
  14. Anyone have a feeling on the opener. Is governor going to close any accesses or restrict where people can go?
  15. This guy has fantastic bass fishing videos. Mostly in Minnesota. This isn't bass, but he got out to do a little pike/muskie fishing. Makes my cabin fever even worse.
  16. Many many years ago I remember seeing a wacky rig on TV for the first time. A few weeks later I was fishing with my young son and I was getting tired of him getting snagged in the weeds. I tied on a hook, rigged it wacky and told him to just drop it a few feet from the boat. He started catching fish. Many more than me. Since then a wacky rig has caught more fish for me then any other bait. If he had not caught anything, it may have been a long time before I tried it again.
  17. I drive about 2 hours one way. Good news is I have a camper there so when I get there it is usually for multiple days of fishing.
  18. Just saw BPT cancelled next event also.
  19. I am starting to wonder if they will have an event all year. They are going to need to to figure out a way to have an event without the weigh in crowd or they may end up canceling the season. Tough spot for everyone. I feel for the fisherman, the fans and all involved. This whole situation sucks.
  20. What is their reason for closing lakes. When I fish I am no where near anyone. It seems like the perfect way to practice social distancing.
  21. For me there is no choice. Everything is frozen and will be for another month at least. When my season starts, I fish whenever I can no matter what tourney is going on. I do enjoy watching when I am trapped in the cold.
  22. Justin Atkins 10 pounder on spinning reel. Awesome.
  23. Fantastic Day 1. So many hammers.
