swimbait rod
I've got guide select, megabass loomis and customs built of a proprietary lamiglass blanks. They fall second to my low down custom built on phenix blanks. Btw I don't like fore grips on any rods. I don't pal the reel that far back. Plus I think big fore grips look funny

Seaguar Tatsu-what have I done??

- Chances of catching a 10 pounder
I read an article that a statistician put together. Took into account averge trips of an avid angler, area, many more variables and figured the avid fisherman in the states has a 3 percent chance in his or her life. I believe he figured 52 trips a year 8 hours a trip. A figured for the whole united states. If you live in Texas your chances greatly increase to 19 percent. I believe he wrote Indiana the avid angler has a .3 percent chance at a d.d. it was very interesting. It got picked apart on the forum but it was cool to read. I wish I could find it to repost.- Squarebill reel
Either a 7.1 curadoI or a 50e 6.4.1 both on 843 imx/e6x- Motor guide x5 vs minn kota maxxum
Was wondering if anyone has any experience with motorguide x5. Looking to repower in the near future. Pretty much narrowed down to these two units.- How To Cast A Baitcaster
I was thinking the same thing. Centrifugal breaks pins would only engage and apply braking as the spool spins fast enough to engage them. Spool Tension is constant. Maybe we've been wrong this whole time.- Line suggestions for A-Rig and Swimbaits
I like big game and cxx. Cxx is a little less stretchy. Both cheap and strong. I've been using 20 # cxx for baits up to 6 ounces. No problems- Can't, for the life of me, skip with baitcaster
Here's a video I just took. Phone in one hand rod in the other. It takes practice but anyone can do it. It helps if the lure is accelerating/ forward momentum. And a good follow through. I don't set my reels any differently than they are normally.- Thinking about moving south (North Carolina)...help me please!
Where ever you move you'll probably never catch 150 and 175 plus bass a few weeks apart.- Cork handles
Dirty cork =mojo. Never clean the cork!- Size doesn't matter

That's nasty- Swimbaits a good search bait?
About the cheapest you can get into the big bait game would probably be an okuma guide select and a shimano cardiff 300 used. I have a guide select 7'11 1-6 oz rating. It's either rated h or xh. That I could sell you for a decent price if I can ship it fairly in expensive.- Using a live minnow as a jig trailer.
Best jig trailer I've ever seen is a fresh bluegill fillet. If it's legal it's legal.- Swimbaits a good search bait?
I think a crank is a better search bait in water with no vegetation to worry abiut. A big swimbait like 7 inches plus glide bait. Has gotten me more followers from big fish by far.- Huge Swimbait matching forage?

What rod ? And what diameter line do you run?- Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Every couple years or so I buy jigs in bulk. Got down to about 20 a few weeks ago. And look what happened to show up the same day. I'm off work. Ain't got nothing to do boat is hooked up and charged.... I'm Patrick Swayze- Huge Swimbait matching forage?
One of my best baits is an 8 inch trout . Trout profile . Rain bow trout color. Either hud. Or savage or deps 250. This is in texas. Zero chance these fish are trout eaters.the pros are pros because they put 5 fish bags together. That's hard to do when you're eliminating 90 percent of the fish in the lake. Like fishing big swimbaits will do. A hud is a good cold water bait it has hardly any action or swimming motion. And sets up right when sitting on the bottom. This definetly a dragging bottom type bait for me. Which most all of my swimbait fishing is done at a super slow speed. I really like boot tails. My region weedless versions do well. And glide baits. But not all glide baits are created equal. You get what toy pay for . - Chances of catching a 10 pounder
