Yeah I'm thinking the same think. I've fished 20 cxx for the last year with no prob. On 5 and 6 ounce baits. I stepped up just for the extra insurance funny thing is that same bait 2 days later I casted it off. Wasn't committed to the cast didn't push the button down and POP. Luckily it landed in chest deep water. Tossed a marker right on it. And after 20 mins fouND it dragging the net. So respooled with the 25 cxx that I had on stand by

Brand new just opened spool of 25#cxx. Been stored in my boat for maybe 3 -4 months. In the garage (when not on the lake). Spooled up with fresh line first outing. Caught one. Missed another. Very next cast broke off when I swung on what hopefully was a rock and not a fish. But it shouldnt have broke.keep in mind im very picky about my knots. Im sure the knot was good. I have it marked. I'll be back better equipped to retrieve my bait. I've been swimming 3 times after lost swimbaits this year. The tricky part is I lost this one inside a buoyed off section at the dam. Bait is maybe 15 feet inside the cable in maybe 5 feet of water on the slope of a rock jedy.

Thread it on a small jig head or nose hook it exposed with a small no. 2 octopus hook. AND SET THE FRiGGIN HOOK next time

Until I started buying my own lures. All I fished were h&h spinnerbaits. For years popa bought them a card at a time. Plastics definetly the most productive probably a brush hog or lizard. But my favorite bait to fish is definitely a big glide bait. Or a frog when that bite is on.

I've allowed 2 hats to blow off in the lake the last 2 weeks. Gone years without that happening and now twice back to back. How many hats have yall lost through the years? Im probably around 5-7 hats in the drink. With a low recovery rate.

At a certain price point ,your implications suggest, a fisherman becomes pretentious, or grandiose for possessing finer equipment for an activity (like in my case) that someone will love to do for the rest of his life. Maybe true for some individuals to think of themselves as better than. But certainly not everyone. Putting a lable on on people for using expensive equpiment. Is pretty judgmental in its self. I have no desire to keep up with any trends, maintain any status ,I've never even fished a tourny in my life. Not in it for that. my equipment is not an ego booster. They are simply tools to do something I am passionate about. Things" dont define a person's worth I was raised better than to belittle over worldly possesions.

Won't give advice on rods I've never used but I have 2 e6x rods. If I didn't own orochii xx and nrx ,glx ,imx. I'd say they're pretty dang good rods. I.e. a corvette is great unill you drive a few lambos, and porche

Not much anymore. I have enough tackle to las a long ass time. But I am expecting 2 phoneys 2 more hinkles and 3 hinkle trout before fall time. Swimbait waitung list game is no joke. That's gonna set me back a bit. 1 trout on ebay should cover most of that though.

2 ounces max. Which i wouldnt exceedGreat jig and pitching rod makes a great small swimbait and frog rod too. Maybe too light for punching 2 ounce jigs. Idk I punch through some thick stuff with 1 ounce works fine. The leviathon maybe a better match.

The core really starts to shine with light line and lighter bfs type applications. I've got both reels. Both are really good. But something about the new ci4 material. I can whittle it with a knife. How good can it be ? I'd never buy another chronarch ci4. I'd either save for a metanium or get another curado.

Ya I've seen that camelot bell private waters sells bass for like $10k and like $1k per day to fish. Yikes

O really my mistake I thought it was caught in a small private lake loaded with protien rich forage. Those were the bass I was referring to. What reservoir was it caught out of ?
