  1. Plastics are way down on my list. Yeah I use them during club tournaments but If I could use hard/moving baits exclusively I would.
  2. I'm a fan of the SK redeye with VMC hooks. Sexy Shad, Red Craw Chart, Chart baitfish, and Bad To The Bone are my favorite colors. One of the better baits out there. Great for locating fish. Cover as much "fishy" water as possible. A top bait for catching to big one!!!!
  3. Cool stuff guys. Unfortunatley, I just missed KVD at the grand opening of a BPS in Atlantic City. I live about 15 minutes from Bass Pro "Ike" Mike Iaconelli. Good guy. He still fishes winter league tournaments here in South Jersey.
  4. SweeeeT!!! Chunk smallie for sure.
  5. Some fish from early March and April..... Had ice on a 1/3 of the lake!!!
  6. All the time. I fish with crank baits in some really snaggy areas. I don't leave home without it!!!
  7. Even 5lbs on a SK Redeye lipless crank. Caught in South Jersey!!!
  8. Windy and rainy/cloudy days are my favorite conditions. Killed em' on a Rapala DT-4 during my first five club tourneys this year. I also prefer stained water.
  9. My season started on the second week of March. It's been very productive for the most part. A silver Rapala Husky Jerk(HJ-10) and DT-4(Helsinki shad) crankbait did most of the damage. The lakes- Union, Rainbow, Wilson, Newton, Bargaintown. Plenty of 2-4lbers.
  10. Stick with 10-12lb mono in the beginning. A squirt of KVD line conditioner or Reel Magic should make casting smoother. STAY AWAY from braid. Any major birdnest will have to be cut out. GOOD LUCK!!!!
