  1. Hit Cedarville again. The wacky rig caught some bass early. Had a decent amount of hits as I circled the lake. The bite died once the wind shifted direction, so I broke out the SK Redeye lipless crank and fired away. Power fishing was on!!!!! Shallow and deep. Final tally was 6 keeper largemouth with another 6 short bass. About a dozen pickerel, over a dozen yellow perch, some crappie and even a channel cat.
  2. Nailed over a dozen bass this morning at Skeeterville(Cedarville). Two over 4lbs, some 2's and 3's. Once again a 4" wacky rigged Senko did all the damage.
  3. Hit Cedarville around 7AM. 60-62 water temps. Got on the bass early. A 4" wacky rigged green pumpkin Senko was the ticket. Casting to the shoreline was all that you needed to get results. I landed a half dozen bass in the 2-3lb range. My best was just around 4lbs. Throw in a handful of dinks and toothy critters to round out the morning. I probably had over fifty bites as I circled the lake about 10 times. A super QUICK hookset was the only way to nail the bass.
  4. Congrats, that's the way to do it!!!
  5. Most of the surrounding area is private property. Not sure if you can launch a boat anymore. If you are looking for largemouth in that area, Lake Audrey is a little further South. There are still smallmouth in there too.
  6. Had a hell of a time on Rainbow Lake yesterday morning. Beds everywhere but no bass on them. Fish were very lethargic. Power fishing was a waste. Water temps were only in the mid 50's. I finally got some action after the wind direction shifted. A 4" wacky Senko was the deal. I ended up catching about a half dozen small bass and a few pickerel. Pads and wood were key areas. Best fish came off a dock piling.
  7. Some South Jersey water......
  8. Rainbow and Union are usually good. Parvin is a lunker lake, although I caught only pickerel there yesterday.
  9. Some good fish caught at Assunpink in the last few weeks.
  10. Blackwater Sports Center in Vineland, NJ located in the Southern part of the state. Plenty of local knowledge, great customer service. They have been around for many years. Two thumbs up????
  11. Team Jim and Jimmy finishing in 2nd place and lunker......
  12. Nothing like bass fishing in the SNOW. We had our final club tournament before the two month closed season period. Our 5th event was held at Newton lake in Collingwood, NJ which is about 15 miles East of Philadelphia.
  13. Finished 3rd out of 12 at our first club tourney(Rainbow Lake), also had the lunker. Only one team weighed in a limit of five bass. Most fish were caught on a variety of shallow running crankbaits.
  14. Plenty of quality fish usually. The bass bite was just off.
  15. Nailed about a dozen of these slime darts the other day. Most on spinnerbaits. Water temps in the upper 50's Unfortunately I was fishing for BASS.
  16. Bargaintown is an amazing puddle. We have two club tourneys coming up this season.
  17. Took me a while but I finally nailed a solid 2 and 3lb bass on a Rapala HJ-10 at Rainbow this morning. Water temps at 40 with howling winds.
  18. I have a club tourney there in three weeks. Smoked it last year with the almighty HJ -10. Location is critical in this lake. The biggest females will not be far from the spawning grounds. Fish wood and grass near these areas. Good luck and report back. I will be on Rainbow tomorrow.??
  19. Top Rod is looking for members. The meetings are in Runnemede. Check the SJBCA website.
  20. South Jersey Hawg Hunters. Cumberland, Salem County area.
  21. Assunpink and Manasquan are two of the best in NJ for quality largemouth. Turkey Swamp is a real good one too.
  22. Have you been fishing? I might have an open spot as a co-angler in my club. A new club member will probably be looking for someone that is reliable. We fish 18 tourneys a year on Saturdays. Most are local. Furthest one is Assunpink.
