I'm terrible over here in a full moon. That's one thing I'm consistent at since last February. Lesson learned. Unless I plan on night fishing, I ain't coming lol

The loons and I were fishing the same schools in Six Mile. I'm sure they did better than me but I never saw them with a fish either. The fog was so bad all afternoon you couldn't see the buoys to travel much.

Fall pattern's not working too good for me the last two days at The Bend, unfortunately. Try deeper tomorrow somewhere else with all new baits lol

I feel for you fellas! After reading all this, I guess it's worth suffering through the summer down here in Cajun land. It's either fish, hunt, and sleep or hunt, fish, and sleep down here. Thank God

Thanks Wayne. You're correct. I changed it to 800 kHz because I read that is was better for more detail and less range. In your example my screen would be mostly the black line under the boat. I'll try 455 kHz. Thanks again.

Very cool. Thanks for all the images. Any tips for side imaging in shallow water with a Lowrance HDS Gen 2? I see some great images on here in less than 5 feet of water. I can't seem to accomplish that. Must have it set wrong.

Speaking of ducks, any of y'all duck hunt on The Bend? If so, how is it? Sure would be nice to hunt there so I could fish too!

That's an awesome fish! I don't see why it has to be a pure strain for TPWD to keep it. It has the necessary genes to become 13+. Most crossed animals are better than the original. My humble opinion.
