  1. I rented the movie on your recommendation last night. Excellent ! Thank you. Cool, RW. Glad you liked. The whole cast was brilliant, but, Chow Yun-Fat, IMHO, was absolutely astounding. He has always impressed me (as an actor and person) but his portrayal in that role was just mind blowing.
  2. Talk about fun! I would do it - and bet the pilot a $100 he couldn't make me puke.
  3. $26,500 / month for child care? Can he adopt me? I'll just take half that.
  4. Congratulations! Good luck.
  5. Fish for fun, a lot - as much as I can. Would be fun to do tourneys, I think, but afraid it might take the fun out of it at some point.
  6. I pulled one from the pond last summer that had what looked like big scratches on it - almost like scars. The best I could figure it looked like something had a hold of it when it was smaller and it got away. Didn't seem to be bothering him now.
  7. Best movie I have seen in the last year (and in a long time) was "Curse of the Golden Flower". Chow Yun-Fat (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, and, Bullet proof monk) - awesome as always and incredible in this movie. Gong Li (Miami Vice and Hannibal Rising) is HOT!!!!! I mean, great actress. The cinematics and enormity of the photography and visuals are amazing. Intense battle scenes and the guards "swinging" into the village was incredible. It's sub-titled but worth the effort.
  8. Didn't realize he was on....[ IMG]http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j62/ejtaylor822/IMAGE_00049.jpg
  9. Was tying on a large rattle trap when a yellow jacket lit on my left hand. Without thinking (obviously) I swatted at with my right driving one of the trebles into the side at the bottom of my index finger up to the bend. Was able to get it out myself, but, next time I will let the bee sting me.
  10. I'm heading to the boat show this weekend here in Raleigh with the little girl. She's never been, but like her daddy loves boats. Looking forward to watching her take all the boats in. With that said, I've been going to the two boat shows we have in Raliegh for about the last 10 years. They are not that big, in and out in an hour or two. One of the shows last year was a little smaller than the year before. This year's show is in a different location, so, we'll see how it goes. The annual fishing show in the spring at the fairgrounds is decent size. Pretty fun to go hang out for a little while, but not an all day event - for me anyway. Still fun though.
  11. No. I like them too. Don't think they are the best out there, but, they work well for me and don't think the fish can tell the difference betweem an Eagle Claw and Gammy.
  12. Those are nice. I'm like you and like something not so "formal". Plus, I just find the bags so much easier to deal with than a brief case for laptops & accessories. Those bags are nice and when it comes to this type of stuff, my experience is that you get what you pay for. Let us know what you wind up doing.
  13. That was a good game. Was hoping for a different outcome. I love Favre and don't mean to be critical but he just tries to force it too much sometimes. Pulling for the Pats at this point.
  14. I made the mistake of buying a couple of those dancing eels when they came out a couple of years ago. Fished them a lot and have never caught a single thing on them. Lost one last summer and hoping to lose the others this year. ;D
  15. Favorite spinner - up until a year or so ago was the Booyah, but I am really digging the Strike Premier Elites.
  16. The only thing I guess I am loyal to are the Rapala rattle traps. If I lose one, I always buy another and they are the only rattles I buy. Everything else is pretty much fair game.
  17. Come to Papa - don't know where I got that from but it always seems to be the first thing out of my mouth followed by one or more of the following in no particular order: "No, stay out of there", "don't jump", "stay on", "get over here", "resistance is futile", "easy, now", "who's your Daddy?".
  18. Very nice "shopping list". Those Matt Lures are soooo nice.
  19. As always - very, very nice. Really like your work. Question: How do you get the "hinges" / coupling to line up? Are you making your own from wire and expoying them in? I've been toying with the idea of make some multi-part swims but unsure how to get the connectors just right.
  20. My office away from the office - the recliner in front of the TV.....
  21. I'm a mutt.... Going back to the Grandparents, best I have come up with is the Taylors and Edwards are of English descent. The Hylemon's were Irish. The Hare's, unsure, but think Irish as well. Regardless, 5th generation Southern'r by the Grace of God.
  22. Pure enjoyment and relaxation. I work in technology for a demanding and sometimes unreasonable company (like most). When I fish, there are no computers involved, no unreasonable demands, no irate end-users, no complaining executives, no long winded meetings, and no screaming boss. It's me, a piece of string, bait and a fish - the most simplistic form and the way its been done forever. Additionally, I like being outside and taking it all in - I just love the water. Fishing allows me to spend time doing something with my Dad when we're together - I'm mid-40's, but, fishing with my Dad takes me back to a time when I was a boy. Also, and this is silly, its nice to know that once in a while I am smarter than one of God's creatures that he made very cunning with keen survival skills - yes, once in a while I need to know that I am at least smarter than a fish. :-[
  23. My name, with initials for first (Eddie), middle and last name followed by my anniversary - August 22. That's all.
