  1. Really? I use it on almost all my rods and know of numerous others that fish with it all the time and none of us have issues with horrible memory or constant problems like it looping the top eye. Maybe you got a bad spool?
  2. Well if you hear anything about it please share. I'm stumped.
  3. To answer the OP question. What is your choice of line for weightless Senkos? I'd go braid in Lilly pads. Its limp and if anything slows the fall leaving the bait in the zone longer to me. But Big Game mono has worked just fine in less covered waters.
  4. To bad you aren't close. I have one I'm looking to sell cheap. Boat trailer and 9.5 Johnson outboard. That being said I'm sure I am not the only one out there looking to let his old neglected boat go to a new home.
  5. Is there a way to delete a pic out of an album without deleting the entire album? I accidentally got a double post (two identical pics) in my album but see no edit where I can delete one pic, or a delete button, other than the one to delete the entire album.
  6. Guess it depends on different circumstances. I've always wanted to think fishing was a pleasure not so serious. But I guess some take it to the next level. All my uncle's, my grand dad, and my dad from my memory didn't ever act selfish or sneaky about where they fished to others or what they used either. They shared the sport with others. But I see a lot of that "my spot" going on as if it's a tournament and I know in several cases it was not. Yeah some days I might not really want to be bothered but honestly if someone spoke to me it's not the end of my fishing. As long as it wasn't some jerk flying in making a mess and being rude I can't say I'd be mad about it.
  7. Can I edit my post. It should have said he wouldn't make it out of limited preseason work. God help us if Dak does anything good in the first game. The media will have him standing beside the golden boy. Speaking of how much I can't stand the media hype. Remember not so long ago that ESPN had Kaepernick winning the next 5 Superbowls. They couldn't shut up about the guy. I thought they were having sex. Now days he's lucky if he can stand for his country that gives him the freedom to act a fool.
  8. Congrats
  9. It's the easiest answer not necessarily the easiest thing for some individuals.
  10. Although taking the high road is the easiest / safest path I will offer this. The most successful people don't always take the easiest/safest path. People shouldn't be afraid to be objectionably honest. By that I mean as long as you make absolutely sure your comments are not biased and stated in a completely professional manner backed with facts. A professional company may not want to hear it but they would respect it.
  11. Good idea. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Telescopic-Lure-Retriever/product/37104/?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensions
  12. Mann's 1-Minus in Baby Bass Crystaglow
  13. Congratulations man it will be a long weekend though.
  14. Kind a crappy to not see the smiley waving the sign with LOL on it as in I'm kidding. Duh But hey if that is all you could comment on in this entire thread I can see how you missed the joking
  15. I have some if the old Mann's spinnerbaits that are at least 12-15 yrs old too. They run roughly $6-7 and are from what I understand still made in the USA. I'd bet they are still quality baits if true. I just don't see them on the shelves so they get looked over. Sometimes it's a convenience thing and If I don't see them they get passed over. I did see some Stanley's at my local bait shop though.
  16. 7 1/2" or 8" worm. Works everywhere anytime. Texas Rigged preferably.
  17. I have some LTB lures I left in the package and have started filling a old school plastic 3 tray box. I'm thinking when it's full I might give it to someone starting out. Then again when I'm struggling sometimes I reach for something that isn't in my normal batch of lures I have faith in. But I have one row of the three trays full so it's filling up.
  18. The manufacturer? Lews, Diawa, Shimano ?
  19. Pepper Custom, nice bearings, good hooks, have the trailer barb and great skirts.
  20. Well I for one don't buy $20 lures so this won't happen to me. As for my pole saw comment I would want to cut a limb but I was teasing as much as anything. When a $20 lure causes you a headache your fishing lures out of your pay grade. Otherwise go buy 10 more and forget about it.
  21. In my limited boat ownership time I haven't had near the stories as many of you. But a few weekends ago me and my partner head out bright and early. I had scouted out a new hole for us and we were going to give it our all. So as the daylight starts glistening (cool big word) through the early clouds we are there and already had caught several nice ones when another boat comes up with 3 fellas. They never once got too close as to interfere with our fishing and never said anything to us. But I told my partner they were late to the hole. I could just feel the guys pain that he couldn't get in the area. It was really cool of them to stay back and let us fish. I looked at their boat as best I could and plan to repay the courtesy if I get the chance. I didn't have a bad bad story so I threw in a good one.
  22. Pole saw early early in the AM they have the ones that use battery pack like cordless drills.
  23. I see where that may be interpreted that way. But to me if someone was going to log info this technology just made a lot more stuff to possibly include in a log. Again depending on how in depth the person doing the logging wants to get. Since you can see a ton more as the fellas describe in the link you provided. The entire setup(s) used rod, reels, line, lures, retrieve speed, lucky hat, and water clarity to name a few could be included into a log. A fishing log can include as much or as little detail as you choose, but the more information you track, the more useful it ultimately becomes. I don't have one of the thousands of dollar units and they may have software to enter these parameters but someone still has to put the info in there. Or can the new fish finders detect a 1/2oz spinnerbait, its brand, its skirt color, the head color, number of blades, size of blades, style of each blade, what brand of trailer, style of trailer, was there a trailer. See my point. Fishing logs are to give you greater insight into why a fish was caught as well as where to find the fish. All that being said I hunt pretty much with no electronics as mine are really old and basically show depth and occasionally some fish and some structure along with the water temp. I never had that stuff my whole life fishing from the bank and did good enough for me. And no I don't log anything I fish to relax not go back to school writing pages and pages of info.
  24. Never clean it. But I haven't had my boat that long. Also it stays pretty clean getting flushed out now and then.
  25. Watch eBay I just picked up a 3 1/2" White Silver Prism for $4.10 at my door.
