Weirdest bait you caught a fish with
I got some of these marine worms from a buddy in Florida many years ago. They are the meanest and nastiest live bait I have ever used. I only had a dozen and they were gone in about an hour. I caught a fish on everyone I had. The thing is, I have never seen them since. I was surprised to find them on the interenet.

Shimano Reels
I had a Shimano Sahara 750 for little over a year and it was a great reel until I hooked a 40lb catfish on it. I was not about to let that monster go so I reeled it and destroyed that reel in the process but I did get it in. I found the 750 to be alot of fun for bass. It was smooth reel and a great value for the money. For bass, IMHO, it would be fine but nothing bigger.

New Rapala Shad X-Raps
Dick's finally got the new Shad X-Rap in. The baitmonkey got me and I picked up 5 of them. They look amazing. I hope they work as well as they look. I'll be trying them first thing in the morning. I'll let you guys know how they work out.

Where to fish...
I know Eastern is a Christian college but I'd say forget the fishing and go out partying ;D. But if I had to pick, I would go with #1. It looks like you might get some good action along the banks.

Your Worst Fishing Injury
I was fishing off a pier in Tampa just before sun up when I thought I got caught in some weeds. I pulled my rig in and attached to the other end of it looked like a big pile of moss so I reached out to take it off and before my fishing buddy could stop me, I put my hand around a scorpion fish. I thought my hand was on fire. The owner of the pier gave some kind of heavy duty solution to rub on it but by then it didn't matter my hand had gone numb. I still have some nerve damage in my hand but it has for some strange reason become more sensitive so I guess it was a bonus in the end.

Flipping Jigs and soft plastics/frogging rod
I was looking for a rod at the beginning of the year for the same purposes that you have listed and with the forums advice I ended up with a G. Loomis MBR844C IMX. This rod has proven to be the best general purpose rod I own. I have yet to find a lure or bait I can't cast with it (1/4oz or more) and the hooking setting power for a topwater frog is awesome.

Fluorocarbon Showdown Sequel (New TT Test Results)
I have tried Berkley Transition and Seaguar Carbon Pro and both of them were the worst lines I had ever used. I have been reading about Seaguar Invisx and Gamma and I think I will give it one more try but if I have no success, they will be the last fluorocarbons I'll try. As far as the ones I have used, both of them broke easily, not strength was OK, and both had more memory than any other line I have tried. The memory was so bad on the Carbon Pro that it cut my casting distance in half; you could actually hear the line hit the guides when you cast. One other thing, they both streched like a Slinky on a hook set. I am starting to think, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Zebco or other spincast reel
I think this is what I bought for my wife early on this year. She seems to like it a lot. I have only fished a couple of times and was very surprised at how nice of a reel it was. http://www.daiwa.com/Reel/detail.aspx?ID=73

Wal-Mart to offer health care????
I heard somewhere that Wal-Mart will have a health care center inside a few of there stores. So now I can get my oil changed, my hair cut, go to the bank, eat at a McDonalds or Subway, get my taxes done, pick a new pair of perscription glasses and get treated for a serious illnesses. What's next, a tattoo parlor? When I think of affordable health care, Wal-Mart is not exactly what I had in mind. On a side note, the Wal-Mart gas stations around here in Indiana are going out of business. Murphy Oil is no longer.

He so good that it makes you realize how sad the rest of the NBA is and how special of a player he is. And to think at his age he could only get better.

Name brand or bulk?
I use the name brand stuff. I try to watch for sales and coupons. I have been buying Senkos for around $4.00 a pack at Dicks. They are usually $5.99 a pack. When they go on sale they are 20% off, I will buy 11 packs and use a $10 off a $50 purchase coupon.

I like PowerPro the best (50lb) and Sufix second. Both are great lines.

Buying a new rod
I have not had chance to fish a Kislter rod but I hear that they are an excellent rod manufacture. After reading what you're intending to use the rod for, I'd pick the G. Loomis BCR803. As far as the power goes the MH should do. Is this the rod you're looking at? http://www.kistlerrods.com/p/KR/c-mt-worm-fishing-jig-rods/MgAPSMH66.html

"senko" or knockoff setup
No, not really. I fish a pond that is the overflow of the local waste treatment plant and the water is absolutely pure and clear. You can watch a senko fall and twitch back and forth on a retrieve. There seems to be no problem with the the fall and action that the 4/0 EWG causes. It is, IMHO, the perfect fit for a 5in or 6in senko, dinger or whatever cigar plastic you use.

Need help with fish indentification?
I don't tend to catch too many smallmouth but the ones I have caught here in Indiana and in Tennessee have been like the ones in RW's avitar (only smaller). They have a large amount of bronze and red striping but the one I caught today had no striping at all and instead of being bronze it was solid red. Out of the freshwater fish I have caught, it had one of the most vicious strikes I have encountered. It weighed 3lb 4oz and was the best looking fish I have ever caught. I have looked online and have found no photos of what I caught. Sorry I am being a little vague but it did look like a smallmouth but again no stripes just solid red. Any ideas what it was? I am going to continue to research online to see what I can find. Thanks for any of your thoughts and ideas.

"senko" or knockoff setup
If I fish them weigthless I use a Quantum Energy Pti-a 20 on a St. Croix Avid ML 6' or a M 6'6'' with 6lb YoZuri or 6lb P-line Floroclear and a 4/0 Gamakatsu EWG. If I fish them weighted I use a Shimano Calcutta 251 with a G. loomis MBR803, 14lb Gamma Copolymer, 3/16oz bullet weight and a 4/0 Gamakastu EWG. Occasionally when I'm in heavy cover, I will use a Shimano Calais 201A on a G. Loomis MBR783 with 50lb PowerPro, 1/4oz bullet weight and again the 4/0 EWG.

Your most expensive shopping spree?!
I try to buy a little hear and a little there. I have chosen to force my last hog wild shopping spree out of my mind but I'm sure my wife remembers. ;D I think I came home with a Daiwa Zillion, a G. Loomis MBR844, 10 or so Lucky Craft Lures, and 15 bags of Senkos. The details are still fuzzy but I still have the lump on my head from my wife.

best reel match for rod
I have the BCR803 paired with an older Shimano Calcutta 251. I like the slower speed and it has some real cranking power to bring in the big ones. But if I had to pick another, I'd go with the Daiwa Zillion. It's easy to use, palms well, and cast like a dream.

Pick one for your all your T-rig applications?
I have the BCR803 GLX and it works great for all my T-rigged plastic. When I purchased it I did look at the 804 and I thought it was a little to heavy. The 803 is the most sensitive rod I have ever fished with. Just in case, what reel and what line are planning on using? Also, what plastic are planning on using?

What makes reels cost so much?
"What makes reels cost so much?" Because we (some fishermen) are willing to pay for it. ;D ;D ;D
